5. 하나님주의와 사랑의 통일

본인은 일찍이 오랜 기도와 명상의 생활에서 드디어 실존하는 하나님과 상봉하여 이 절대진리를 전수받아 왔습니다. 그것은 전 우주와 인생과 역사의 배후에 숨겨진 모든 비밀을 밝히는 놀라운 내용이었습니다. 이 내용을 사회에 적용하면 사회문제가 풀리고, 이것을 세계에 적용하면 세계 문제가 풀리는 것이었습니다.

이뿐만 아니라 종교의 미해결 문제, 철학의 미해결 문제도 풀리는 것이었습니다. 특히 이것을 공산주의 이론 비판에 적용하였을 때 공산주의의 모든 허구가 백일하에 폭로되는 동시에 공산주의에 대한 대안도 세워지는 것이었습니다.

이것은 일찍이 없었던 새로운 세계관이요 새로운 우주관이요 새로운 인생관이요 새로운 섭리관이요 새로운 역사관입니다. 또 모든 종교 교리나 철학의 특성을 살리면서 전체를 하나로 포용할 수 있는 통합원리이기도 한 것입니다.

본인은 이 사상을 통일사상 또는 하나님주의라 이름 하고 세계적으로 통일운동과 승공운동을 전개하고 있는 바, 이 운동은 현재 요원의 불길처럼 번져 나가고 있습니다. 모든 대결의 화해와 통일을 위해서는 하나님의 사랑의 실천과 진리가 필요하다는 것을 밝혔습니다.

휴전선을 사이에 두고 선 편과 악 편으로 갈라진 한민족이 선 편의 진리를 가지고 악 편 사상의 과오를 깨우쳐 주면서 사랑으로써 품고 나간다면 통일은 기필코 이루어질 것입니다.

5. 神主義と愛の統一

私は、長きにわたる祈りと瞑想の生活の末、ついに実在する神様と出会い、絶対真理を伝授されました。それは、宇宙と人生と歴史の背後に隠されたあらゆる秘密を明らかにする驚くべき内容でした。この内容を社会に適用すれば社会の問題が解決され、世界に適用すれば世界の問題が解決されます。

それだけでなく、宗教の未解決問題や哲学の未解決問題も解決されるのです。特にこれを共産主義理論の批判に適用したとき、共産主義のすべての虚構が白日のもとにさらされると同時に、共産主義に対する代案も立てられるものだったのです。

これは、かつてなかった新しい世界観であり、新しい宇宙観であり、新しい人生観であり、新しい摂理観であり、新しい歴史観です。また、あらゆる宗教の教理や哲学の特性を生かしながら、全体を一つに包容できる統合の原理でもあるのです。

私はこれを「統一原理」または「神主義」と名づけ、世界的に統一運動と勝共運動を展開しています。この運動は現在、燎原の火のごとく広がっています。すべての対決の和解と統一のためには、神様の愛の実践と真理が必要だということを明らかにしました。

休戦ラインを境にして善の側と悪の側に分かれた韓民族は、善の側の真理をもって悪の側の思想の過ちを論しながら、愛で抱いていくならば、統一は必ず成し遂げられるでしょう。

5. Godism and the unity of love

I have encountered the living God through a lifetime of prayer and meditation, and have been given this absolute truth. Its remarkable content clarifies the hidden secrets of the universe, human life and history.

When this truth is applied in society, social problems are solved, and when it is applied in the world, world problems are solved. The unanswered questions of religion are also resolved through this truth. In particular, when it is applied to eval‎uate communist theory, it brings to light communism’s falsehoods and sets up a critique and counterproposal.

This is a new and previously unknown view of life, of the world and the universe, and of the providence and history. It is also a principle of integration that can bring the world into a unity while at the same time preserving the unique characteristics of all religious doctrines and philosophies.

I have named this truth Unificationism or Godism, and have initiated the Unification movement and the Victory over Communism movement on a worldwide scale. They are now spreading like a wildfire.

So far I have explained that the practice of God’s love and the truth of God are necessary for the reconciliation and unity of all. The reunification of a divided Korea will surely be accomplished if we embrace those on the side of evil with love, while helping them understand the errors of their thinking by means of the truth that we on the side of goodness understand.
