Joel Embiid has been diagnosed with a displaced flap in the meniscus of his left knee, sources told Shams Charania and Joe Vardon of The Athletic.

Embiid and the Sixers are considering his options, including rest and rehab or undergoing surgery.

A displaced flap is considered as a type of tear to the meniscus.

Embiid is averaging 35.3 points and 11.3 rebounds on the season.

Zach LaVine To Undergo Foot Surgery, Out 4-6 Months

Zach LaVine is set to undergo surgery on his right foot, the Chicago Bulls announced.

LaVine is set to miss the next 4-6 months.

The 28-year-old, along with Klutch Sports Group, elected to have the procedure after seeking several medical opinions.

LaVine injured the ankle last month.

Jarred Vanderbilt Could Be Out For Season With 'Significant' Right Foot Injury

Jarred Vanderbilt could miss the rest of this season due to a "significant" right foot injury, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

"I'm told that Jarred Vanderbilt has suffered what was described to me as a significant right foot injury. 

"There's concern that he could be lost for the rest of the season. They're consulting with specialists this weekend and going through that foot injury on Vanderbilt," said Wojnarowski.

In 29 games this season, Vanderbilt is averaging 5.2 points and 4.8 rebounds in 20.0 minutes. 

"At the minimum, I'm told he's out for several weeks," added Wojnarowski. 

Ivica Zubac Return To Clippers Lineup Is 'Imminent'

Ivica Zubac is listed as questionable by the Los Angeles Clippers for Sunday's game against the Miami Heat.

Zubac's return is "imminent," according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Zubac has been out since January 12 with a calf strain.

LeBron James said he has yet to make a decision on whether he'll exercise his player option with the Los Angeles Lakers next offseason.

The player option is worth $51.4 million.

"No," said James, when asked if he knew what he was going to do with the option. 

Rich Paul also clarified earlier in the week that James would not be traded by the Lakers. 

Ahead of the Lakers game against the Knicks on Saturday night, James admitted that he had thoughts about what it would have been like to play in New York.

"During my free agency period in 2010, it was one of the teams that I looked at. So I've had that thought in my career," said James.

Irving has missed six consecutive games with a sprained right thumb.
