6. 위함의 도리는 천도

여기서 본인은 사랑에 대해 좀 더 구체적으로 말씀드리려고 합니다. 사랑은 상대가 있는 곳에서 성립됩니다. 사랑은 상대로부터 오며 위하는 데서 참사랑이 이루어집니다. 상대 없이는 사랑은 존재할 수 없습니다. 자기를 위하는 것이 아니라 먼저 상대를 위하는 것이 사랑입니다. 모든 피조물은 위하도록 창조되었고 위해서 존재합니다. 인간뿐만 아니라 동물·식물·광물도 위해서 존재합니다. 원자세계도 위해서 존재하며 일월성신의 운동도 모두 위함의 운동인 것입니다.

그리고 인간의 남성은 육신의 구조로 보아 여성을 위하여 존재하고, 여성 역시 신체 구조로 보아 남성을 위하여 존재합니다. 마찬가지로 부모는 자녀를 위하여 존재하고, 자녀는 부모를 위하여 존재합니다. 위함의 원칙은 학교나 직장이나 국가에 있어서도 마찬가지입니다. 그러나 그 위함의 사랑은 국가 테두리에서 멈추어서는 안 됩니다. 국민은 국경을 넘어 세계를 사랑하고 더 나아가서 세계적 원수까지도 사랑해야 합니다.

전 우주의 모든 개체들은 모두 위하면서 존재하며 운동하고 있습니다. 그러므로 위함의 사랑의 도리는 천도요 천리인 것입니다. 어떠한 어려움 속에서도 사랑의 도리를 실천하면 우주적인 힘이 그를 도와서 그는 결코 망하지 않습니다. 그러나 아무리 편한 생활을 한다 하더라도 위함의 도리를 지키지 않으면 조만간 그는 쇠퇴할 것입니다. 역천자(逆天者)는 망하고 순천자(順天者)는 존재한다는 말은 그 천리를 두고 하는 말입니다.

이렇게 볼 때, 민족적 십자가를 진 한민족은 통일의 달성이 어렵다 하더라도 진리의 중심과 하나된 가운데서 천도에 어긋남이 없이 위함의 생활을 개인·가정·사회와 국가에서 영위해 나가고 국제적으로 확대해 나간다고 하면 틀림없이 한반도의 통일은 물론이요 전 세계의 구원의 길도 앞당겨질 것입니다.

그것은 한국에 초점을 두신 하나님 섭리의 뜻과 일치되기 때문입니다. 남북통일이 앞당겨질 뿐만 아니라 이 방식이 하나의 공식이 되어서 전 세계도 같은 공식을 따를 것입니다. 그리하여 이 사랑과 진리의 운동 앞에 세계의 모든 어려운 문제는 해결되고 인류는 오랜 불행과 혼란의 악몽에서 해방되어 비로소 영원한 행복과 평화가 찾아올 것입니다. 역사를 통해서 배워 온 조국은 하나님만을 의지할 수밖에 없는 것입니다.

6. ために生きる愛の道理は天道 

ここで私は、愛についてもう少し具体的にお話をしたいと思います。愛とは相対があるところに成立します。愛は相対から来るのであり、ために生きるところに真の愛が成立します。相対がなければ愛は存在できません。

自己のために生きるのではなく、先に相対のために生きるのが愛です。すべての被造物はために生きるように創造されたのであり、ために存在するのです。人間のみならず、動物、植物、鉱物も、ために存在します。原子の世界も、ために存在し、太陽と月と星の運動もすベて、ために生きる運動なのです。

また、人間の男性は肉身の構造から見て女性のために存在し、女性もまた身体構造から見て男性のために存在します。同様に、父母は子女のために存在し、子女は父母のために存在します。ために生きることの原則は、学校、職場、国家においても同様です。しかし、そのために生きる愛は、国家の枠内でとどまってはいけません。国民は国境を超えて世界を愛し、さらに進んで世界的怨讐までも愛さなければなりません。

全宇宙のすべての個体は、ために生きながら存在し運動しています。ですから、ために生きる愛の道理は天道であり、天理なのです。いくら困難な中にあっても愛の道理を実践すれば、宇宙的な力が彼を助けて、彼は決して滅びることがありません。しかし、いくら快適な中で生活しても、ために生きる道理を守らなければ、いずれは衰退していくのです。「天に順う者は存し、天に逆らう者は亡ぶ」という言葉は、この天理のことをいうのです。

このように見るとき、民族的十字架を背負つた韓民族は、統一の達成が難しくとも、真理の中心と一つになった中で、天道に逆らうことなく、ために生きる生活を、個人、家庭、社会、国家で営み、国際的に拡大していくならば、間違いなく韓半島の統一はもちろん、全世界の救援の道も早められるでしょう。

それは、韓国に焦点を置かれた神様の摂理のみ旨と一致するからです。南北統一が早められるばかりでなく、この方式が一つの公式となって、全世界も同じ公式に従っていくでしょう。そうしてこの愛と真理の運動のもとに、世界のすべての難問題は解決し、人類は長い間の不幸と混乱の悪夢から解放され、初めて永遠の幸福と平和が訪れてくるのです。歴史を通じて学んできた祖国は、神様に頼る以外に方法がありません。

6. The principle of living for others is the way of Heaven

Now I will speak more concretely about love. To love is to bring benefit to one’s counterpart rather than oneself. Love is established when there is a mutual relationship between subject and object partners.

Love emerges from one’s counterpart. Love cannot exist if there is no counterpart. All created beings are designed to benefit others; each exists for the sake of the other. Not only human beings, but also animals, plants, and minerals exist for the sake of others. Even entities at the atomic level exist for other entities.

Also each of the heavenly bodies moves for the sake of other heavenly bodies. In light of their physical structure, men exist for the sake of women, and women exist for the sake of men. Likewise, parents exist for the sake of their children and children exist for their parents.

This principle of existence for the sake of the other applies to one’s school, to one’s place of work, and to the nation. However, love must not be limited by the boundaries of a nation ; people need to love the world beyond their own national borders and love their enemies on a worldwide level.

Therefore, the principle of living for the sake of others, that is, the principle of love, is the principle of Heaven or the way of Heaven. If we practice the principle of love even in the midst of hardships, then we will be sustained by the power of the universe and will never perish.

If a person lives a comfortable life without observing this principle of living for others, he or she will soon decline. The saying, “The one who disobeys Heaven will perish and the one who obeys Heaven will prosper” is a truth rooted in this heavenly principle.

Korea is bearing the cross on the national level. No matter how difficult it may be to unite this nation, Koreans have to practice living for the sake of others, as individuals, as families, as a society, and as a nation, in accordance with the way of Heaven. Let us unite with the center of truth and expand this to the international level.

If we do this, we will hasten not only the unification of the Korean Peninsula but also the salvation of the entire world. This must be the lifestyle of Koreans, to be in accord with God’s providential Will. Not only will this promote the unity of North and South Korea; this method of unity will become the formula for the whole world to follow.

Through this movement of love and truth, all the difficult problems of the world will be solved, humankind will be liberated from its long nightmare of sorrow and confusion, and everlasting happiness and peace will come for all. 

Our homeland, Korea, has been deceived and made to suffer throughout history. There is no better way for us to go than to depend on God.
