고린도후서 9:6-10 이것이 곧 적게 심는 자는 적게 거두고 많이 심는 자는 많이 거둔다 하는 말이로다 각각 그 마음에 정한대로 할 것이요 인색함으로나 억지로 하지 말찌니 하나님은 즐겨 내는 자를 사랑하시느니라 하나님이 능히 모든 은혜를 너희에게 넘치게 하시나니 이는 너희로 모든 일에 항상 모든 것이 넉넉하여 모든 착한 일을 넘치게 하게 하려 하심이라 기록한바 저가 흩어 가난한 자들에게 주었으니 그의 의가 영원토록 있느니라 함과 같으니라 심는 자에게 씨와 먹을 양식을 주시는 이가 너희 심을 것을 주사 풍성하게 하시고 너희 의의 열매를 더하게 하시리니

하나님께서는 적게 심는 자는 적게 거두게 하시고, 많이 심는 자는 많이 거두게 하십니다. 우리가 심는 대로 거두게 하시는 것입니다. 그러나 인색함으로 하거나 억지로 하는 것은 여기에 해당되지 않습니다. 사람에게 잘 보이기 위해서, 혹은 자기를 드러내기 위해 헌금하는 것은 주님께 상달되지 못합니다.

마음에 정한 대로 하십시오. 즐겨 내는 자를 주님께서 사랑하시고 축복하십니다. 하나님의 뜻은 우리가 모든 것이 넉넉하여 모든 착한 일을 넘치게 하는 것입니다. 자원하여 주님의 나라를 위해 헌신하고 가난한 자를 도울 때, 주님께서는 그를 더욱 넉넉하게 하셔서 선한 일을 더욱 많이 이루게 하십니다.

이 땅에서 의로운 일을 많이 했을 때 그 의는 사라지지 않습니다. 천국에 가서 많은 상급을 받고 그 영광을 영원토록 누리게 하십니다.

이 땅에 사는 동안 하나님께서는 심을 씨앗을 계속 주시고 그 열매를 계속 거두게 하십니다. 선한 일에 참여할 기회를 더 주시고, 그 일을 잘 수행할 때 그의 삶을 하나님께서 더욱 풍성하게 하시는 것입니다. 오직 믿음으로 천국에 갑니다. 그러나 천국에 가는 믿음이 어떤 것인지를 바르게 이해해야 합니다.

세상 욕심을 따라 살면서 교회만 열심히 다니는 것은 거짓 믿음입니다. 신앙생활을 하면서 주님의 사랑의 계명을 지키는 것이 천국에 가는 믿음이라고 성경은 말씀하십니다.

Sermon on 2 Corinthians 9:6–10

2 Corinthians 9:6-10

But this I say: He who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully.

Every man shall give according as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, so that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound in every good work. As it is written, He has scattered abroad; he has given to the poor; his righteousness remains forever. Now He who gives seed to the sower and bread for food shall supply and multiply what you sow and increase the fruits of your righteousness.

God causes the one who sows sparingly to reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully to reap bountifully. He causes us to reap according to what we sow. But giving grudgingly or under compulsion does not fall into this category. Offerings given to look good before others or to display oneself do not reach the Lord.

Give according to what you have purposed in your heart. The Lord loves and blesses a cheerful giver. God’s will is for us to have sufficiency in all things and abound in every good work. When we willingly devote ourselves to the Lord’s kingdom and help the poor, the Lord makes us even more abundant so that we may accomplish even more good works.

When we have done many righteous deeds on this earth, that righteousness does not disappear. God allows us to receive many rewards in heaven and enjoy that glory forever.

While we live on this earth, God continually gives us seed to sow and continually enables us to reap its fruit. He gives us more opportunities to participate in good works, and when we carry them out well, God makes our lives even more abundant. We go to heaven by faith alone. But we must correctly understand what kind of faith leads to heaven.

Living according to worldly desires while merely attending church diligently is false faith. The Bible says that living a life of faith while keeping the Lord’s commandment of love is the faith that leads to heaven.
