갈라디아서 1:6-10 그리스도의 은혜로 너희를 부르신 이를 이같이 속히 떠나 다른 복음을 좇는 것을 내가 이상히 여기노라. 다른 복음은 없나니 다만 어떤 사람들이 너희를 요란케 하여 그리스도의 복음을 변하려 함이라. 그러나 우리나 혹 하늘로부터 온 천사라도 우리가 너희에게 전한 복음 외에 다른 복음을 전하면 저주를 받을찌어다. 우리가 전에 말하였거니와 내가 지금 다시 말하노니 만일 누구든지 너희의 받은 것 외에 다른 복음을 전하면 저주를 받을찌어다. 이제 내가 사람들에게 좋게 하랴, 하나님께 좋게 하랴, 사람들에게 기쁨을 구하랴? 내가 지금까지 사람의 기쁨을 구하는 것이었더면 그리스도의 종이 아니니라.

예수 그리스도의 죽으심과 그의 피로 말미암아 죄 사함을 받고 구원받는다. 그러나 이 놀라운 은혜를 떠나 다른 길을 찾아가는 자들이 많다. 참으로 어리석고 안타까운 일이다. 예수 그리스도 외에는 다른 구원자가 없다. 인간을 창조하신 하나님께서 인간을 구원하시기 위해 인간의 몸을 입고 이 땅에 오셔서 십자가에서 죽으셨다. 그러므로 십자가의 은혜를 떠나서는 결코 다른 구원의 길이 없다.

거짓 선지자들은 세상의 유익을 얻기 위해 사람들을 속인다. 그들은 십자가의 은혜 외에도 다른 구원의 길이 있는 것처럼 가르치며 순수한 복음을 변질시킨다. 또한 사탄의 거짓 은사와 능력을 나타내어 사람들의 마음을 미혹하고 혼란스럽게 한다. 예수 그리스도의 복음을 변질시키는 자들은 결국 멸망한다. 하늘에서 온 천사라 할지라도 예수 그리스도의 복음과 다른 복음을 전한다면 저주를 받는다.

예수님께서 말씀하신 진리에서 벗어나 다른 복음을 전해서는 안 된다. 주님의 말씀에 순종하며 자신의 죄를 깨닫고 회개하는 것이 참된 복음의 길이다. 그러나 세상의 욕심에 사로잡힌 자들은 하나님의 말씀에 순종하기를 싫어한다. 이런 그리스도인들은 아무런 희생과 수고 없이 천국에 들어가기를 원하며, 자신의 육신의 욕망과 죄를 책망하지 않고 오히려 두둔해 주는 거짓 복음을 좋아한다.

타락한 인간의 죄를 책망하지 않고 사람들에게 기쁨과 위로만 주려고 하는 것은 참된 복음이 아니다. 하나님의 복음은 회개와 순종을 선포하여 영혼들이 죄에서 돌이키고 변화되어 천국에 들어가게 하는 것이다. 성경을 거짓되게 해석하여 사람들에게 인기를 얻고 돈을 벌려는 자는 하나님의 참된 종이 아니다.

Galatians 1:6–10

I am astonished that you are so quickly turning away from Him who called you by the grace of Christ and are following another gospel. There is no other gospel, but there are some who trouble you and try to alter the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone preaches to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be accursed. Am I now seeking the favor of people, or of God? Or am I seeking to please people? If I were still seeking to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Through the death and blood of Jesus Christ, we receive forgiveness of sins and are saved. Yet many leave this amazing grace and seek another way. It is truly foolish and heartbreaking. There is no other Savior besides Jesus Christ. God, who created humanity, came to this earth in human form to save humanity and died on the cross. Therefore, apart from the grace of the cross, there is absolutely no other way of salvation.

False prophets deceive people in order to gain worldly benefits. They teach as though there were other ways of salvation besides the grace of the cross and corrupt the pure gospel. They also display Satan’s false gifts and powers, luring and confusing people’s hearts. Those who corrupt the gospel of Jesus Christ will ultimately perish. Even if an angel from heaven preaches a gospel different from the gospel of Jesus Christ, he will be accursed.

We must not depart from the truth spoken by Jesus and preach another gospel. Obeying the Lord’s word, recognizing one’s sins, and repenting is the way of the true gospel. However, those captivated by worldly greed dislike obeying God’s word. Such Christians want to enter heaven without any sacrifice or effort, and they like a false gospel that does not rebuke but instead defends the desires and sins of their flesh.

It is not the true gospel to refrain from rebuking the sins of fallen humanity and seek only to give people pleasure and comfort. God’s gospel proclaims repentance and obedience so that souls may turn away from sin, be transformed, and enter heaven. Those who falsely interpret the Bible in order to gain popularity and make money are not God’s true servants.
