Jesus said this was the father of lies(John 8:44). Satan’s goal is to deceive people and lead them into death. Since idol worship is directed toward demons(1 Corinthians 10:20), God commanded you not to do it. Satan tells you to become like God and as he gives you power. He also drives people to build a tower of Babel, yet in the end makes them crumble. This is where the problem begins. People struggle with problems that never seem to get resolved, and they eventually go to shamans and fortune tellers. However, the root is never solved, and they can’t escape the 6 states of the nonbeliever. In today’s passage, Naomi fled a famine by going to Moab, but her husband Elimelech and her two sons died, leaving only her two daughters-in-law. When Naomi decided to return to her homeland, Ruth followed her and confessed, “Your God will be my God.” 1. A Resolution Toward the God of the Covenant   This event became a turning point that completely changed the past, present, and future. You must leave the past entirely. You must make a resolution toward the God of the covenant and completely come out of darkness. 2. A Resolution Toward the God of Creation   This event became a turning point that changed everything by God’s power. She made a resolution to believe in the Creator God who would renew her. She believed in the God who gave the Three Feasts, the Ark of the Covenant, and the tabernacle. 3. A Resolution Toward the Eternal God   This event became a turning point that relayed world evangelization to the posterity. Through Rahab and Ruth came David, and through this family line came Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ, you must escape the deception that can only lead to destruction. You must make a decision toward the eternal God.   You must not be deceived by today’s success or failure. The true answer is the evangelism movement that blocks disasters and the darkness. Like Ruth, you must end your past and hold onto the sure covenant today for the posterity.  Immanuel Church Sunday Worship, 1st Service / 01, June, 2025. [Gospel Memory Verse] Isaiah 40:31. [Bible Reading] Psalms 136:1~26.
