갈라디아서 4:27-31 기록된바 잉태치 못한 자여 즐거워하라 구로치 못한 자여 소리질러 외치라 이는 홀로 사는 자의 자녀가 남편 있는 자의 자녀보다 많음이라 하였으니 형제들아 너희는 이삭과 같이 약속의 자녀라 그러나 그 때에 육체를 따라 난 자가 성령을 따라 난 자를 핍박한 것 같이 이제도 그러하도다 그러나 성경이 무엇을 말하느뇨 계집 종과 그 아들을 내어 쫓으라 계집 종의 아들이 자유하는 여자의 아들로 더불어 유업을 얻지 못하리라 하였느니라 그런즉 형제들아 우리는 계집 종의 자녀가 아니요 자유하는 여자의 자녀니라

이삭이 태어난 것은 하나님의 약속에 의한 것입니다. 그때 하나님께서 아브라함에게 하신 약속은 네가 끝까지 믿고 기다릴 때 너에게 자녀를 주리라 이었습니다. 그러나 오늘날 우리에게 주신 약속은 “네가 끝까지 예수를 믿으면 구원을 주리라”입니다. 성취되는 내용은 다르지만 하나님의 약속이 성취되는 것은 동일한 것이다.

환경과 여건이 어떠하든 하나님의 약속은 반드시 성취된다는 것을 이삭의 출생을 통해 하나님께서 우리에게 교훈하신 것입니다. 인간의 사상과 뜻으로 태어난 이스마엘은 결코 아브라함의 상속자가 되지 못했다. 이는 인간의 이론과 철학과 교리가 결코 하나님의 말씀에 섞일 수 없다는 것이다.

이제 예수를 믿는 목적은 자녀를 낳기 위한 것이 아니다, 우리의 죄를 용서받고 천국에 가기 위한 것입니다. 아브라함에게 약속을 성취해 주셨던 전능한 하나님께서 우리에게 구원의 약속을 동일하게 성취해 주십니다. 아브라함의 실수한 것처럼 우리도 답답하여 주님의 때를 기다리지 못하고 인간의 수단을 부릴 수 있다.

그러나 인간의 뜻과 수단은 주님의 약속을 더디게 하고 방해하는 것뿐이다. 신속히 죄를 깨닫고 회개하여 주님의 약속의 말씀으로 돌이켜야 한다. 그렇지 않으면 계속 징계 속에 산다. 주님의 징계를 받으면서도 끝까지 회개치 않는다면 이런 자는 오랜 기간 교회에 다녔어도 지옥에 가는 것이다.

이스마엘이 이삭을 핍박했다, 이는 형식적인 그리스도인이 성령 받고 순종하는 그리스도인들을 핍박하는 것이다. 이는 인간의 교리를 따르는 자들이 하나님의 약속의 말씀을 따르는 자를 핍박하는 것이다. 육신의 생각대로 예수 믿는 자들은 사탄에게 속한 것이다.

Galatians 4:27-31

For it is written: "Rejoice, childless woman, you who cannot give birth. Break forth and shout, you who are not in labor, for the children of the desolate woman are more numerous than those of the woman who has a husband." Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. At that time, however, the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born according to the Spirit, and so it is now. But what does the Scripture say? "Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son." Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.

Isaac was born by God's promise. The promise God made to Abraham back then was that He would give him a child if he believed and waited until the end. However, the promise given to us today is "I will give you salvation if you believe in Jesus to the end." The contents being fulfilled are different, but the fulfillment of God's promise is the same.

God taught us through the birth of Isaac that God's promise is definitely fulfilled regardless of the environment and conditions. Ishmael, born through human thought and will, never became Abraham's heir. This means that human theories, philosophies, and doctrines can never mix with the word of God.

Now, the purpose of believing in Jesus is not to give birth to children, but to be forgiven of our sins and go to heaven. The Almighty God who fulfilled the promise to Abraham fulfills the promise of salvation to us in the same way. Just like Abraham's mistake, we too may feel frustrated and fail to wait for the Lord's timing, resorting to human methods.

However, human will and methods only delay and hinder the Lord's promise. We must quickly realize our sins, repent, and return to the word of the Lord's promise. Otherwise, we live continually under discipline. If someone receives the Lord's discipline and fails to repent until the end, such a person goes to hell even if they have attended church for a long time.

Ishmael persecuted Isaac. This means formalistic Christians persecute Christians who receive the Spirit and obey. This means those who follow human doctrines persecute those who follow God's promised word. Those who believe in Jesus according to the thoughts of the flesh belong to Satan.
