Galatians 5:19–26
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like.I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Those who live according to the desires of the flesh can never enter heaven. When people who have been living in sin believe in Jesus, their sins are forgiven. However, this is not something that ends with a one-time experience. We must continue to live a life of repentance for our sins. Those who continue to repent of all their sins until they leave this world are the ones who enter heaven.
Following the thoughts of the flesh is sin. Even if a person does not physically commit a sinful act, if that person continues to harbor sin in the heart, that person is living in sin. Therefore, we must resist the desires of the flesh that continually arise within us.
Satan inflames the desires of the flesh like fire. He seeks to defile the hearts of Christians, prevent them from repenting, and ultimately lead them to destruction.
Immoral thoughts, greed, hatred, conflict, deceitful schemes, drunkenness, and a desire for reckless living—all these things flow from the flesh. And Satan is working behind them.
The desires of the flesh arise in both believers and unbelievers. Human beings cannot completely solve this problem by their own strength. We can overcome it only through the power of the Holy Spirit. However, we do not overcome these desires perfectly at all times. Therefore, we must continually repent and keep our hearts pure.
Simply attending church does not automatically make our hearts pure. We must make the words of Jesus the standard for our lives and diligently obey them. Whenever we discover our shortcomings and sins, we must repent. Those who live in this way, obeying the words of the Lord, will enter the kingdom of God.
The Bible clearly states that those who live according to the desires of the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Do not seek vain glory. The fruit of the Spirit is shown when we humble ourselves and live in peace with others. We must always have a gentle heart and patiently bear with the faults of others.
Crucify your pride and the desires of your flesh. Church members who provoke and envy one another and seek their own glory are not living in Jesus.
If we live by the Spirit, we must also walk by the Spirit. We must put away the desires of the flesh and live bearing the fruit of love, peace, patience, gentleness, and self-control.
