초대교회 당시, 율법주의자들은 예수님을 믿는 자들에게 억지로 할례를 받게 하였다. 예수님이 오신 후에는 할례가 더 이상 구원의 조건이 되지 않았다. 그러나 율법주의에 빠진 자들은 예수님을 구원자로 받아들이지 않았으며, 예수님을 믿는 자들을 이단으로 몰아 핍박하였다.

이러한 핍박을 피하기 위해 일부 교인들은 할례를 받았다. 그러나 구원을 얻기 위해 할례를 받아야 한다고 주장하는 것은 결국 예수님의 피가 인간의 죄를 사한다는 진리를 부인하는 것이다.

구약의 모든 제사와 율법은 장차 세상에 오실 예수 그리스도를 예표하는 것이었다. 하나님 아버지께서 인간의 육체를 입고 이 세상에 오셔서 인류의 죄를 대신하여 죽으셨다. 이것이 바로 예수님께서 십자가에서 죽으신 사건이다.

오직 예수님의 피만이 인류의 죄를 사할 수 있다. 이 진리를 부인하고 죄를 회개하지 않은 채 하나님을 믿는 것은 죄 사함을 받지 못하는 거짓된 믿음이다.

이제 할례나 무할례는 구원에 아무런 의미가 없다. 오직 예수님을 유일한 구원자로 믿고 자신의 죄를 회개하는 것만이 구원받는 길이다. 예수님을 믿고 죄를 회개하는 자가 새 생명을 얻는 것이다.

오늘날에도 물세례를 받고 성찬식에 참여하며 매주 주일예배를 드릴지라도 자신의 죄를 회개하지 않으면 구원받을 수 없다. 종교적인 의식이나 형식이 인간의 죄를 사하는 것이 아니기 때문이다.

예수님께서 열어 주신 새로운 구원의 길을 따라가는 자에게 영원한 구원과 평안이 주어진다. 구약의 율법과 제사 제도, 다른 종교, 인간이 만든 교리와 이론, 그리고 인간의 어떠한 전통을 통해서도 결코 구원받을 수 없다.

오직 예수님을 믿고 그분의 말씀에 순종하는 것이 구원의 길이다. 가장 중요한 순종은 자신이 주님의 뜻을 거역하고 불순종했던 죄를 깨닫고 회개하는 것이다.

새 생명의 길을 걸어가는 자에게 세상에 속한 것을 요구하지 말라. 구원의 길을 걷는 자는 결코 멸망의 길을 받아들여서는 안 된다.

그리스도인들은 예수님의 흔적을 지닌 자들이다. 우리의 심령에는 언제나 우리를 위해 흘리신 예수님의 피의 흔적이 있어야 한다.

우리는 날마다 자신의 죄를 회개하고 주님의 말씀에 순종해야 한다. 그리하여 예수님의 보혈의 능력으로 죄 사함을 받고, 주님의 보호하심 속에서 끝까지 믿음을 지키며 살아가야 하는 것이다.

Galatians 6:12-18

Those who want to make a good impression outwardly are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.Not even those who are circumcised obey the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your flesh. May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation.Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule, even to the Israel of God.Finally, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.

In the days of the early church, legalists forced those who believed in Jesus to be circumcised. After Jesus came, circumcision was no longer a requirement for salvation. However, those who were trapped in legalism refused to accept Jesus as the Savior. They condemned those who believed in Jesus as heretics and persecuted them.

To escape such persecution, some believers underwent circumcision. However, insisting that circumcision is necessary for salvation is ultimately a denial of the truth that the blood of Jesus forgives human sins.

All the sacrifices and laws of the Old Testament foreshadowed Jesus Christ, who was to come into the world. God the Father came into this world in human flesh and died in place of humanity to pay for its sins. This is what happened when Jesus died on the cross.

Only the blood of Jesus can forgive the sins of humanity. Those who deny this truth and claim to believe in God without repenting of their sins have a false faith that cannot bring forgiveness.

Now neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any significance for salvation. The only way to be saved is to believe in Jesus as the one and only Savior and repent of one's sins. Those who believe in Jesus and repent of their sins receive new life.

Even today, people may receive water baptism, participate in Holy Communion, and attend worship services every Sunday. However, if they do not repent of their sins, they cannot be saved. This is because religious ceremonies and outward practices cannot forgive human sins.

Eternal salvation and peace are given to those who follow the new way of salvation that Jesus has opened. No one can ever be saved through the laws and sacrificial system of the Old Testament, other religions, human doctrines and theories, or any traditions established by human beings.

The only way to salvation is to believe in Jesus and obey His Word. The most important act of obedience is to recognize and repent of the sins committed by disobeying the Lord's will.

Do not demand worldly things from those who are walking on the path of new life. Those who walk on the path of salvation must never accept the path that leads to destruction.

Christians are those who bear the marks of Jesus. The marks of the blood that Jesus shed for us must always remain in our hearts.

We must repent of our sins every day and obey the Word of the Lord. In this way, we receive forgiveness of sins through the power of the precious blood of Jesus and live a life of faith under the Lord's protection, remaining faithful to Him until the end.
