에베소서 3:16–21

그 영광의 풍성을 따라 그의 성령으로 말미암아 너희 속 사람을 능력으로 강건하게 하옵시며 믿음으로 말미암아 그리스도께서 너희 마음에 계시게 하옵시고 너희가 사랑 가운데서 뿌리가 박히고 터가 굳어져서 능히 모든 성도와 함께 지식에 넘치는 그리스도의 사랑을 알아 그 넓이와 길이와 높이와 깊이가 어떠함을 깨달아 하나님의 모든 충만하신 것으로 너희에게 충만하게 하시기를 구하노라 우리 가운데서 역사하시는 능력대로 우리의 온갖 구하는 것이나 생각하는 것에 더 넘치도록 능히 하실 이에게 교회 안에서와 그리스도 예수 안에서 영광이 대대로 영원 무궁하기를 원하노라 아멘

성령께서 우리의 속사람을 강하게 하십니다. 성령으로 충만해질 때 연약했던 인간의 마음이 매우 담대해지는 것입니다.참된 믿음은 세상 그 무엇보다 강하신 하나님께서 우리를 지키신다는 것을 믿기 때문에, 세상의 어떤 권세나 유혹에도 흔들리지 않고 끝까지 주님의 말씀에만 순종하는 것입니다.

주님의 명령은 오직 하나님만 믿고, 하나님을 사랑하며, 이웃을 사랑하라는 것입니다.주님의 명령은 실제 삶에서 이루어져야 하는 살아 있는 지식입니다. 반면에 인간이 만들어 낸 이론과 지식은 하나님의 뜻을 거스르기 때문에 헛된 것입니다.하나님의 말씀보다 인간의 지식을 앞세우는 자는 주님께 불순종하게 되고, 결국 주님의 심판을 받게 되는 것입니다.

그리스도의 지식으로 충만해야 합니다. 주님을 사랑하고 이웃을 용서하며 사랑하는 것이 생명의 지식입니다.그리스도의 능력과 사랑이 얼마나 광대합니까? 그 넓이와 길이와 높이와 깊이가 얼마나 큰지 마음속에 그려 보십시오.세상의 그 무엇도 주님과 견줄 수 없습니다.

주님 홀로 세상을 창조하셨고, 인간들이 지켜야 할 사랑의 법을 주셨습니다.그러나 인간들은 주님을 대적하며 죽음의 길로 가고 있습니다.주님께서는 멸망해 가는 죄인들을 불쌍히 여기셨습니다. 그래서 친히 그들을 대신하여 죽으시고, 자신의 생명을 죄인들에게 나누어 주신 것입니다.

지금도 주님께서는 성령으로 우리와 함께 거하십니다.성령께서는 우리가 모든 선한 일과 사랑을 넘치도록 실천하게 하십니다.주님의 뜻에 순종하는 자들에게는 삼십 배, 육십 배, 백 배로 갚아 주시고, 마지막 날에는 천국에 들어가게 하십니다.주님의 뜻을 올바르게 가르치고 실천하는 교회와 성도들에게는 주님의 능력과 은혜와 사랑이 항상 넘치게 하십니다.

Ephesians 3:16–21

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

The Holy Spirit strengthens our inner being. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, our once-weak hearts become very bold and courageous. True faith means believing that God, who is stronger than anything in this world, protects us. Therefore, we do not waver before any worldly power or temptation, but continue to obey the Lord's Word faithfully until the end.

The Lord commands us to believe in God alone, to love God, and to love our neighbors. The Lord's commandments are living knowledge that must be put into practice in our daily lives. In contrast, theories and teachings invented by human beings that oppose God's will are worthless. Those who place human knowledge above God's Word disobey the Lord and will ultimately face His judgment.

We must be filled with the knowledge of Christ. Loving the Lord, forgiving our neighbors, and loving them are the knowledge that leads to life. How vast are the power and love of Christ! Try to picture in your heart how great their width, length, height, and depth truly are. Nothing in this world can compare with the Lord.

The Lord alone created the world and gave humanity the law of love that everyone must obey. However, human beings are rebelling against the Lord and walking on the path that leads to death. The Lord had compassion on sinners who were heading toward destruction. Therefore, He personally died in their place and shared His own life with them.

Even now, the Lord dwells with us through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to abound in every good work and to put love into practice abundantly. The Lord rewards those who obey His will thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and a hundredfold, and He will lead them into the Kingdom of Heaven on the last day. The Lord continually pours out His power, grace, and love upon churches and believers who correctly teach His will and faithfully put it into practice.
