에베소서 4:25–32

그런즉 거짓을 버리고 각각 그 이웃으로 더불어 참된 것을 말하라 이는 우리가 서로 지체가 됨이니라 분을 내어도 죄를 짓지 말며 해가 지도록 분을 품지 말고 마귀로 틈을 타지 못하게 하라 도적질하는 자는 다시 도적질하지 말고 돌이켜 빈궁한 자에게 구제할 것이 있기 위하여 제 손으로 수고하여 선한 일을 하라 무릇 더러운 말은 너희 입밖에도 내지 말고 오직 덕을 세우는데 소용되는대로 선한 말을 하여 듣는 자들에게 은혜를 끼치게 하라

하나님의 성령을 근심하게 하지 말라 그 안에서 너희가 구속의 날까지 인치심을 받았느니라 너희는 모든 악독과 노함과 분냄과 떠드는 것과 훼방하는 것을 모든 악의와 함께 버리고 서로 인자하게 하며 불쌍히 여기며 서로 용서하기를 하나님이 그리스도 안에서 너희를 용서하심과 같이 하라.

예수님의 피로 죄 사함을 받은 자들은 주님의 뜻을 따라 살아야 할 의무가 있습니다. 자신의 욕심을 이루기 위해 거짓말하지 말아야 합니다. 분을 내더라도 해가 지도록 분을 품지 말고, 분노로 인해 죄를 짓지 않아야 합니다.

마귀가 틈을 타지 못하게 해야 합니다. 마귀에게 마음을 빼앗기면 믿음이 걷잡을 수 없이 무너지고, 결국 생명의 길에서 떠나게 되는 것입니다.

도적질하지 말고 성실하게 일해야 합니다. 궁핍한 자들을 도우며 선한 일을 지속해야 합니다. 더러운 말은 입 밖에도 내지 말고, 다른 사람을 비방하지 말며, 항상 덕을 세우는 선한 말을 해야 합니다.

그리스도인의 삶은 다른 사람들에게 은혜를 끼치는 삶이 되어야 합니다. 우리의 말과 행동을 통해 사람들이 살아 계신 하나님을 느끼게 해야 합니다. 그리하여 우리의 삶을 통해 자연스럽게 복음이 전파되도록 해야 합니다.

올바른 믿음은 올바른 삶을 통해 나타납니다. 우리가 하나님의 뜻을 따라 올바르게 살아갈 수 있도록 도우시기 위해 성령께서 우리 가운데 오셨습니다.

우리가 성령의 인도를 따를 때 성령께서 기뻐하시지만, 성령의 인도를 거역하고 죄를 따라 살아갈 때 성령께서 근심하십니다.

우리가 예수님을 믿고 이 세상에 살아가는 동안은 죄를 회개하고 예수님의 피로 용서받을 수 있는 은혜의 기간입니다. 이는 우리가 진심으로 회개할 때마다 예수님의 피가 우리의 죄를 씻어 주신다는 뜻입니다.

그러나 지옥에 들어간 후에는 아무리 회개해도 용서받을 수 없습니다. 죄를 회개하고 구속받을 수 있는 기회가 이미 끝났기 때문입니다.

그리스도인이 죄를 범하고도 회개하지 않는다면 멸망의 길로 가는 것입니다. 이러한 모습을 지켜보시는 성령께서 매우 근심하십니다. 그러므로 우리는 성령을 근심하게 하는 자들이 되어서는 안 됩니다.

예수님의 피로 죄에서 구속함을 받은 자들은 지옥으로 가는 길을 버리고 반드시 천국으로 가는 길을 걸어야 합니다. 이것은 신앙생활을 하는 동안 자신의 죄를 끊임없이 회개하고, 주님의 말씀에 순종하기를 힘쓰는 삶을 의미합니다.

예수님을 믿은 후에도 육신의 정욕을 따라 살면서 자신의 죄를 회개하지 않는다면 결국 지옥으로 가게 되는 것입니다.

겉으로는 예수님을 믿는다고 말하면서 실제 생활에서는 주님의 말씀을 거역하고 세상의 욕심을 따라 살아가는 형식적인 그리스도인들이 있습니다.

성령께서는 이러한 자들의 모습을 바라보시며 매우 근심하시고 슬퍼하십니다.

그러므로 우리는 성령을 근심하게 하지 말고, 날마다 자신의 죄를 회개하며 성령의 인도를 따라야 합니다. 주님의 말씀에 순종하고 서로 사랑하며 용서하는 삶을 살아야 합니다.

Ephesians 4:25–32

Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Those who have received forgiveness of their sins through the blood of Jesus have an obligation to live according to the Lord's will. We must not lie to satisfy our own desires. Even when we become angry, we must not hold on to our anger until sunset, nor should we allow our anger to lead us into sin.

We must not give the devil a foothold. If we allow the devil to take control of our hearts, our faith may collapse beyond our control, and eventually we may turn away from the path of life.

We must not steal, but work honestly and diligently. We must help those in need and continue doing good works. We must not allow unwholesome words to come out of our mouths, nor should we speak evil of others. Instead, we must always speak good words that build others up.

The life of a Christian should be a life that brings grace to others. Through our words and actions, we must help people recognize that God is alive. In this way, the gospel should be spread naturally through the way we live.

True faith is revealed through righteous living. The Holy Spirit has come among us to help us live according to God's will.

When we follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, He is pleased. But when we reject His guidance and live according to sin, the Holy Spirit is grieved.

While we believe in Jesus and live in this world, we are living in a period of grace during which we can repent of our sins and receive forgiveness through the blood of Jesus. This means that whenever we sincerely repent, the blood of Jesus cleanses us from our sins.

However, after entering hell, no one can receive forgiveness, no matter how much they repent. This is because the opportunity to repent and receive redemption from sin has already ended.

If Christians commit sins and refuse to repent, they are walking on the path to destruction. The Holy Spirit is deeply grieved as He watches them live in this way. Therefore, we must not become people who grieve the Holy Spirit.

Those who have been redeemed from sin through the blood of Jesus must turn away from the path to hell and walk faithfully on the path to heaven. This means continually repenting of our sins and striving to obey the Lord's Word throughout our Christian lives.

If we continue to live according to the sinful desires of the flesh after believing in Jesus and refuse to repent of our sins, we will eventually go to hell.

There are Christians who outwardly claim to believe in Jesus, but in their daily lives they disobey the Lord's Word and follow the desires of the world. Their faith is merely outward and formal.

The Holy Spirit is deeply grieved and saddened as He watches such people live in this way.

Therefore, we must not grieve the Holy Spirit. Instead, we must repent of our sins every day and follow His guidance. We must obey the Lord's Word and live lives of love and forgiveness toward one another.
