 Shin Kuk-bom, the president of the university, possesses vast experience in education and over a period of 20 years, he has acted as the president of a number of universities. He is confident that by the year 2020, he will propel Daejeon to become one of the nation's top five universities in terms of academic staff, facilities and reputation.

 "Money isn't everything. The value of a university lies in how well it teaches and takes care of its students," he says.

While Shin believes in the importance of education, he also understands that learning isn't always restricted to inside a classroom. He encourages this students to study hard but also to always foster their personal interests and to become unique individuals.

 Seeing his passion and commitment for his students, we sincerely hope that all his dreams and goals for Daejeon University come true.
