Phrasal Verb : back away, back down, back up, black out, block off

1. back away : move backwards, in fear or dislike 

ex) When he saw the dog, he backed away.

2. back down : withdraw,  concede defeat 

ex) Local authorities backed down on their plans to demolish the building.

3. back up 1) give support or encouragement

                2) make a copy of (file, program, etc.)

 ex)

 1) If I tell the boss we've got too much work, will you back me up?
 2) It is recommended to back up all files in a secure location.

4. black out : faint, lose consciousness 

ex) When he fell off the horse he blacked out.

5. block off : Separate using a barrier. 

ex) The area was blocked off during the demonstration.
