마태복음 19장

1. When Jesus had finished saying these things, he left Galilee and went into the region of Judea to the other side of the Jordan.

예수께서 이것들을 말씀하시기를 마치셨을 때, 그는 갈릴리를 떠나서 요단강의 다른편으로 유대의 지역 안으로 들어가셨다.

2. Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.

많은 군중이 그를 따랐다, 그리고 그는 그들을 거기에서 치유하셨다.

3. Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?"

어떤 바리새인들이 그를 시험하기 위해 그에게 왔다. 그들이 물었다, “어떤 사람이 무엇이든 그리고 모든 이유에 때문에 그의 아내와 이혼하는 것이 합법적입니까?

4. "Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator `made them male and female,'

5. and said, `For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'?

6. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."

그래서 그들은 더 이상 둘이 아니라 하나이다. 그러므로 하나님이 함께 연합하신 것을 사람이 나누게 할 수 없다.”

7. "Why then," they asked, "did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?"

“그러면 왜,” 그들이 물었다, “모세는 어떤 사람이 이혼의 증서를 그의 아내에게 주고 그녀를 보내라고 명령했습니까?”

8. Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.

예수께서 대답하셨다, “모세는 너희의 마음이 굳었기 때문에 너희 아내를 버리는 것을 너희에게 허용했다. 그러나 그것은 시작부터 이 방법이 아니었다.

9. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery."

나는 너희에게 말한다. 부부간의 불성실함(부정)에 대한 것 외에 그의 아내를 버리고 다른 여자와 결혼하는 사람은 누구든지 간음죄를 저지르는 것이다.

10. The disciples said to him, "If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry."

제자들이 그에게 말했다, “만약 이것이 남편과 아내 사이의 상황이라면, 그결혼하지 않는 것이 더 낫겠습니다.”

11. Jesus replied, "Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given.

예수께서 대답하셨다, “모든 사람이 이 말씀을 받아들일 수 없고 단지 그것이 주어진 사람에게만이다.

12. For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it."

왜냐하면 어떤 사람은 그들이 그런 상태로 태어났기 때문에 거세된 남자이다; 다른 사람들은 사람들에 의해 그런 상태로 만들어졌다.; 그리고 다른 사람들은 하늘나라 때문에 결혼을 포기했기 때문이다. 이것을 받아들일 수 있는 사람은 그것을 받아들여야 한다.

13. Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them.

그때 작은 어린 아이들이 예수께 데려와졌다. 그가 그들에게 그의 손을 두고 그들을 위해 기도하도록. 그러나 제자들이 그들을 데려온 사람들을 꾸짖었다.

14. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

예수께서 말씀하셨다, “어린 아이들이 나에게 오도록 하라, 그리고 그들을 방해하지 말라, 왜냐하면 하늘나라는 이와 같은 사람에게 속해있기 때문이다.”

15. When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.

그가 그의 손을 그들에게 두었을 때, 그는 거기에서 계속 가셨다.

16. Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?"

한편 어떤 사람이 예수께 와서 물었다, “선생님, 제가 영생을 얻기 위해서 무슨 선한 일을 해야만 합니까?”

17. "Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments."

“왜 너는 나에게 선한 것에 대해 묻느냐?” 예수께서 대답하셨다. “선한 분은 오직 한분이다. 만약 네가 생명에 들어가기를 원하다면, 계명들을 순종해라.”

18. "Which ones?" the man inquired. Jesus replied, "`Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony,

“어떤 것들이죠?” 그 사람이 물었다. 예수께서 대답하셨다, “‘살인하지 말라, 간음을 저지르지 말라, 도둑질하지 말라, 거짓증거를 주지 말라.

19. honor your father and mother,' and `love your neighbor as yourself.'"

너의 아버지와 어머니를 공경하라,’ 그리고 ‘네 이웃을 네 자신처럼 사랑하라.”

20. "All these I have kept," the young man said. "What do I still lack?"

“이 모든 것을 제가 지켰습니다,” 젊은 사람이 말했다. “제가 아직 무엇이 부족합니까?”

21. Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

예수께서 대답하셨다, “만약 네가 완전하기를 원한다면, 가서 너의 소유를 팔아서 가난한 자들에게 주라, 그러면 너느니 하늘에 있는 보물을 가질 것이다. 그리고나서 와서, 나를 따르라.”

22. When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.

젊은 사람이 이것을 들었을 때, 그는 슬퍼하며 떠났다, 왜냐하면 그는 많은 재산을 가졌기 때문이다.

23. Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.

그때 예수께서 그의 제자들에게 말씀하셨다, “내가 너희에게 진리를 말한다, 부유한 사람이 하늘나라에 들어가는 것은 어렵다.

24. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

또 내가 너희에게 말한다, 부유한 사람이 하늘나라에 들어가는 것보다 낙타가 바늘의 눈(구멍)을 통과하여 가는 것이 더 쉽다.”

25. When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, "Who then can be saved?"

제자들이 이것을 들었을 때, 그들은 매우 놀라서 물었다, “그러면 누가 구원받을 수 있습니까?”

26. Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

예수께서 그들을 주목하여 보시고 말씀하셨다, “사람과 함께 이것은 불가능하다, 그러나 하나님과 함께 모든 것이 가능하다.”

27. Peter answered him, "We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?"

베드로가 그에게 물었다, “저희가 당신을 따르기 위해 모든 것을 버렸습니다! 그러면 저희를 위해 무엇이 있을까요?”

28. Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다, “나는 너희에게 진리를 말한다, 모든 것의 새롭게 하기에서, 인자가 그의 영광스러운 보좌에 앉을 때에, 나를 따른 너희도 또한 12 보좌에 앉을 것이다, 그리고 이스라엘 12지파를 심판할 것이다.

29. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.

그리고 나의 이익을 위하여 집이나 형제나 자매나 아버지나 어머니나 자녀나 밭을 버린 사람은 누구든지 백 배 만큼 많이 받고 영원한 생명을 상속할 것이다.

30. But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

그러나 첫째 된 많은 자들이 마지막이 될 것이다, 그리고 마지막이 된 많은 자들이 첫째가 될 것이다.
