무술교실 임시 중단 Martial Arts Class Interrupted For Now

방과후학교 무술지도 사역 임시 중단3월 4일부터 클래스를 재개했습니다만 작년 가을학기부터 시작된 저조한 출석이 심해져서 일단 다음 학년도까지 중지하기로 했습니다.출석이 저조했던 이유는...동역자가 없는 단독사역으로서 저의 잦은 부재를 채울 보조교사가 없었다는 점.시간대가 저녁 식사 후였기에 기숙사 거주 학생이나 통학 학생 모두 참여하기 어려웠던 점.게다가 같은 시간대에 빈번하게 벌어지는 학교 체육경기 일정.이런 상황에서 동기부여와 지속적인 참여 격려가 어려웠던 점 등입니다.새 학년도에는 시간대를 학생들 귀가 전 공식 방과후학교 시간인 오후로 정하고...무술 대신 주 1회 두 시간 한국어 학습을 하는 것으로 하면서...혹시 학습에 참여할 교사들이 저의 부재를 채워주거나 고학년이 주도하는 자습 등으로 보강해보고자 학교 측과 현재 의논 중에 있습니다.(2025년 3월 사역소식에서...) After-School Martial Arts Class Ministry Temporarily InterruptedClasses resumed on March 4, but due to the poor attendance that started last fall semester, we decided to suspend them until the next school year.The reasons for the poor attendance were...As a single-person ministry without a co-worker, there was no substitute teacher to fill in for my frequent absences.The time slot was after dinner, so it was difficult for both dormitory students and commuter students to participate.In addition, there were frequent school sports games at the same time.In such a situation, it was difficult to motivate and encourage continuous participation.For the new school year, we are trying to set the time slot to the afternoon, the official after-school program time, before students go home...Instead of martial arts, we'd like to have two hours of Korean language class once a week.We are currently discussing with the school if any teacher who might participate in the class can fill in for my absence or supplement it with self-study led by senior students.(From the March 2024 Ministry News)
