- South Korean novelist Cheon Myeong-kwan's "Whale" has been shortlisted for the 2023 International Booker Prize, the British literary awards said Tuesday
- The Booker Prize, which was established in 2005, to honor distinguished international works of fiction translated into English. It is the fourth time that Korean literature has been nominated for The Booker Prize, including ‘The Vegetarian’, ‘The White Book’, and ‘Cursed Bunny’.
The final winner will receive $65,000 with equally distributed between the writer and translator.

Examples include having consumers subscribe to monthly services without informing them or making cancellations difficult.
- South Korea's antitrust regulator announced that it will conduct to making laws for banning ‘dark pattern’ sales tactics. Due to unclear terms and conditions of the service or user interface, customers are unintentionally paying unnecessary bills to the service providers. Given that 97% of the mobile app-based social internet market has at least one dark pattern in their websites, it seems many customers have experienced unfair transactions regarding desired purchases.
