        A Safe Pair Of Hands   안전한 두 손

           Psalm 138  

[시] 138:1	I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; before the "gods" I will sing your praise.
[시] 138:2	I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word.
[시] 138:3	When I called, you answered me; you made me bold and stouthearted.
[시] 138:4	May all the kings of the earth praise you, O LORD, when they hear the words of your mouth.
[시] 138:5	May they sing of the ways of the LORD, for the glory of the LORD is great.
[시] 138:6	Though the LORD is on high, he looks upon the lowly, but the proud he knows from afar.
[시] 138:7	Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes,  with your right hand you save me.
[시] 138:8	The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O LORD, endures forever- -do not abandon the works of your hands.

[시] 138:1	내가 전심으로 주께 감사하며 신들 앞에서 주께 찬송하리이다
[시] 138:2	내가 주의 성전을 향하여 예배하며 주의 인자하심과 성실하심으로 말미암아 주의 이름에 감사하오리니 이는 주께서 주의 말씀을 주의 모든 이름보다 높게 하셨음이라
[시] 138:3	내가 간구하는 날에 주께서 응답하시고 내 영혼에 힘을 주어 나를 강하게 하셨나이다
[시] 138:4	여호와여 세상의 모든 왕들이 주께 감사할 것은 그들이 주의 입의 말씀을 들음이오며
[시] 138:5	그들이 여호와의 도를 노래할 것은 여호와의 영광이 크심이니이다
[시] 138:6	여호와께서는 높이 계셔도 낮은 자를 굽어살피시며 멀리서도 교만한 자를 아심이니이다
[시] 138:7	내가 환난 중에 다닐지라도 주께서 나를 살아나게 하시고 주의 손을 펴사 내 원수들의 분노를 막으시며 주의 오른손이 나를 구원하시리이다
[시] 138:8	여호와께서 나를 위하여 보상해 주시리이다 여호와여 주의 인자하심이 영원하오니 주의 손으로 지으신 것을 버리지 마옵소서

맨체스터 유나이티드 축구팀의 수문장인 에드윈 반데사르는 “안전한” 두 손을 가졌습니다.

그는 자기 팀의 골문으로 들어가려는 공을 1,302분 동안이나 막아냈습니다.

시즌 세계 기록이었지요. 이것은 한 게임 당 90분인 경기에서 거의 15게임 동안이나 아무도 점수를 못 내도록 골대를 지킨 것입니다.

그러나 2009년 3월 상대방 팀에 한 골을 허용함으로써 이 기록은 거기서 그쳤습니다.

Edwin van der Sar, goalkeeper for the Manchester United soccer team,

had a “safe” pair of hands.

He kept the ball from entering his team’s goal for 1,302 minutes,

a world record in one season!

That means that for almost 15 games of 90 minutes each,

no one was able to score even one goal against his team

while he was guarding the goalposts.

But one goal by an opposing team in March 2009 ended his record.

시편기자 다윗은 가장 안전한 두 손, 즉 하나님의 손 안에서 평안을 찾았습니다.

시편 138편에서 그는 하나님의 보호를 기록하였습니다.

“주의 손을 펴사......(그리고) 주의 오른손이 나를 구원하시리이다”(7절).

다윗처럼 우리도 영적인 위험이나 패배로부터 우리를 구해 달라고

하나님의 안전한 손을 구할 수 있습니다.

The psalmist David found comfort in the safest pair of hands—God’s hands.

He wrote of God’s protection in Psalm 138,

“You will stretch out Your hand . . . and Your right hand will save me” (v.7).

Like David, we can look to God’s safe hands

to keep us from spiritual danger and defeat.

그리스도를 믿는 사람들에게 하나님의 말씀이 주는 또 다른 확실한 약속이 유다서 1:24-25에 있습니다.

“능히 너희를 보호하사 거침이 없게 하시고 너희로 그 영광 앞에 흠이 없이 즐거움으로 서게 하실 자

곧 우리 구주 홀로 하나이신 하나님께 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아

영광과 위엄과 권력과 권세가 만고 전부터 이제와 세세에 있을찌어다 아멘.”

그 말씀은 우리가 결코 넘어지지 않는다는 의미가 아닙니다.

그것은 우리가 아무리 심하게 넘어져도 하나님은 일으키실 수 있다는 뜻입니다.

Another assurance from God’s Word for followers of Christ is

Jude 1:24-25: “Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,

and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power,

both now and forever. Amen.”

That doesn’t mean we’ll never stumble.

 But it does mean we won’t stumble so badly that God cannot pick us up.

그 풍성한 참 사랑을 뉘 능히 끊을소냐 날 구원하신 예수는 참 좋은 나의 친구 하나님 손 안보다 더 안전한 곳은 없다.
