Submit to Elders

One of the most important messages in the church is this: you younger, submit yourselves unto the elder.

Church school children, new believers, and members of the ranch, and all members of the church, obey the pastor who teaches the Word and obey the pastor.

It is difficult to consider the meaning of obedience in a hierarchical sense. This is obedience to Heavenly Father.

To obey what I say is to obey Christ. Can you obey Christ without obeying what I say? There is no such thing.

Submit to elders means submit to the Word. That is, obey the pastor who teaches the Word. Don't think of this as obeying a person. When I say, "Obey the Word," I don't mean "I'll manage you, so come under me".

We are the body in Christ. The link between one member to another is obedience.  Our obedience is direct obedience to Christ.
