5. 미국은 세계를 위해 앞장서야

그런데 보십시오. 지금의 기독교를 가지고는 안 됩니다. 범국민적으로 교육하여 철두철미하게 정신 무장을 시킬 수 있는 지도 이념이 절대로 필요합니다. 지금의 민주주의 이론만 가지고는 안 됩니다. 공산당을 추방하고 하나님을 중심삼은 사랑과 진리로써 새로운 사회질서를 수립할 수 있는 운동이 일어나야 합니다. 이런 목적을 향하여 청년들을 결속하고 단결시켜 미국을 각성시키고 세계적 사명을 감당하고자 준비하고 훈련하는 것이 바로 통일교회 운동인 것입니다.

통일교회는 그럴 수 있는 내용과 이념과 실천력을 가지고 있습니다. 미국을 중심한 하나님의 뜻과 그 계획을 이론적으로 밝히 알려 주고, 미국을 비롯한 서양이 물질문명과 동양 제국의 정신문명을 연결시켜 전 세계에 통일문화권을 이룩함으로써 하나님의 뜻인 창조목적을 완성한 이상세계를 이 지구상에 건설하고자 하는 것입니다. 한국은 서양문명과 동양문명이 연결되는 아시아의 초소요, 최후에 남은 기점이 되는 것입니다.

그런 의미에서 미국이 한국을 보호하지 않을 수 없는 것은 하나님의 뜻에 의한 것임을 알아야 합니다. 이렇게 동서를 연결하는 놀라운 역사적인 사명을 미국이 깨닫지 못하고 자기 국가만으로 정착하려는 것을 다시 깨우쳐서 그 사명을 다하도록 하기 위하여 하나님은 레버런 문을 미국에 보내시어 활동을 하도록 명령하신 것입니다.

하나님의 뜻 가운데 미국이 해야 될 지상과제는 이스라엘과 로마제국, 영국과 같은 국가들의 전철을 밟지 말고 그 창국정신으로 돌아가 철두철미 하나님을 모신 나라로서 뜻의 공식대로 교회와 국가가 하나되어 미국을 희생해서라도 전 세계를 구하려는 입장에서 하나님과 동력하여 지상천국을 이룰 때까지 선봉을 달리는 기수로서의 사명을 다하는 것입니다. 이렇게만 하면 미국은 영원하신 하나님의 뜻을 완성시켜 영원히 축복받는 나라가 될 것입니다.

오늘 이 자리, 이 시간이 앞으로 올 통일된 이상세계, 즉 지상천국의 초석을 놓는 것이 되기를 바랍니다. 여러분과 여러분의 가정과 여러분의 일터와 여러분의 나라에 만복이 깃들기를 바라면서 본인의 말을 끝내고자 합니다. 감사합니다.

第2章 アメリカを中心とした神様の計画

5. アメリカは世界のために先頭に立つべき

しかし、今のキリスト教のままでは、それはできません。汎国民的に教育して、徹頭徹尾精神武装させる新しい指導理念が絶対に必要です。それは現在の民主主義理念だけではできません。共産党を追放し、神様を中心とした愛と真理で、新しい社会秩序を樹立する運動が起こらなければなりません。そのような目的に向かって青年たちを結束、団結させ、アメリカを覚醒させて、世界的使命を担当しようと準備、訓練しているのが正に統一教会運動なのです。

統一教会は、それを成し遂げる内容と理念と実践力をもっています。アメリカを中心とする神様のみ旨とその計画を理論的に明らかに教えてあげ、アメリカをはじめとする西洋の物質文明と東洋諸国の精神文明をつなげて、全世界に統一文化圏を築き上げることによって、神様のみ旨である創造目的を完成した理想世界をこの地球上に建設しようとしているのです。韓国は、西洋文明と東洋文明が連結するアジアの高きやぐらであり、最後に残された基点となるのです。

そのような意味で、アメリカが韓国を保護せざるを得ないのは、神様のみ旨によるものであることを知らなければなりません。そのように東西を連結するという驚くべき歴史的使命を悟れず、自国だけで定着しようとするアメリカを再び覚醒させ、その使命を果たさせるために、神様はレバレンド·ムーンをアメリカに送られ、活動するように命令されたのです。

神様のみ旨の中で、アメリカの果たすべき至上課題は、イスラエルとローマ帝国、イギリスのような国々の前轍を踏まずに、その建国精神に立ち返って、徹頭徹尾神様に侍る国として、み旨の公式どおりに教会と国家が一つになり、アメリカを犠牲にしてでも全世界を救おうとする立場で、神様と共に力を尽くして地上天国を築く時まで先頭を走る旗手としての使命を果たすことです。そうすれば、アメリカは永遠であられる神様のみ旨を完成させ、永遠に祝福を受ける国となるでしょう。

きょうこの会場、この時間が、将来訪れる統一された理想世界、すなわち地上天国の礎を据える契機となることを願います。皆様と皆様の御家庭、皆様の仕事場、皆様の国に、万福が宿ることを願いながら、私のお話を終わらせていたたきます。ありがとうこざいました。

5. The United States needs to lead the world

Look at how things stand now. The Christianity of the present day is not providing the leadership the world needs. We absolutely need a guiding philosophy that can provide education on a supranational level, empowering the minds of people thoroughly and completely. It will take more than today’s democratic philosophy.

A movement needs to arise that can overturn communism and establish a new social order with love and truth centered on God. To achieve this end, America’s young people are being brought together in solidarity in order to awaken the United States. To be equal to this global task, your country needs to be trained and prepared. No one other than the Unification Church is doing this.

The Unification Church has the content, teaching and organization to accomplish this. We are working to reveal God’s Will and teach people about it logically. We are working to connect the material civilization of the West to the spiritual civilization of the eastern nations, centered on the United States, thereby creating a cultural realm connecting the entire world. This will establish on this planet the ideal world, thus completing the purpose of creation, which is the Will of God. Korea is the guard post of Asia, the pivotal point where the Western and Eastern civilizations are connected.

In this regard, you need to understand how important it is for the United States to protect Korea in accordance with God’s Will. Because the United States has not realized its crucial historical mission of connecting the East and the West as it was prepared to do, and is trying to focus only on itself, God commanded me to come and work in the United States to reawaken this country to fulfill its mission.

The task that the United States needs to fulfill under God’s Will on earth will enable it to avoid the fate of Israel, the Roman Empire and England. America needs to return to its founding principles. She needs to bring the church and the state into full harmony in accordance with the formula of God’s Will, and become the nation that attends Him thoroughly and completely.

The United States must work together with God to save the entire world, even at the risk of sacrificing itself, to fulfill its mission as the standard-bearer that runs at the forefront until the kingdom of heaven on earth is realized. When it can accomplish this, the United States will have completed the eternal Will of God and will become an eternally blessed nation.

I hope that this occasion and this moment in time will serve to lay down the cornerstone of the united, ideal world that is coming in the future, that is, the kingdom of heaven on earth. I would like to conclude by praying that all blessings be with you, your families, your workplaces and your nation.
