“Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith; prove your own selves. Know you not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except you are reprobates?” (2 Corinthians 13:5)
Human beings who have fallen through sin in Adam are themselves kings.
He is in fact a servant of the devil, but he is mistaken for himself as his master.
Just as the Jews insisted on not believing even if they died that God had come as a human, the sinner in Adam does not easily accept that Christ is in him.
Even if there is a God, he is in heaven and on earth humans must be king.
But God, who promised the new covenant, makes our bodies his dwelling place.
Therefore, God becomes our God and we become his people.
There was a tent of meeting in the center of the twelve tribes of Israel, so that the shadow of God's presence among them would become a new creation through the coming, death on the cross, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, by sending the Holy Spirit, He dwells in us as Immanuel, so that substance has been realized.
So, if the Son is in him, he has the life of God (1 John 5:12), but if the Son is not in him, God's wrath remains on him with death (John 3:36).
Paul recommends repeating the test whether the Lord is in him or not.
Just as when a road is completed and a completion inspection is conducted, the road is drilled to check its condition, as for the faith that Christ dwells in us, we are told to test (peirazo) and confirm (tokimazo).
This word is not ethics or morality, but a matter of death or life.
Therefore, you should always test the reality of your faith.
So we sing the song like this.
'Because the Lord is there, I am, and because the Lord's song remains, I can sing'.
Again, the weakness of the Korean church is that it only says Jesus and is very vulnerable to the words of the new covenant in which Christ resides
Even though there is book of Romans, there is the Corinthian church on the left that goes out into the world, and there is the Galatian church that goes out to the right because of the righteousness of the flesh.
If the kingdom of God is not established in the church, Christians only cling to the energy they eat and drink, but the spirit of righteousness, peace, and joy within the Holy Spirit does not radiate from them (Rom 14:17).
God created man in his own image, gave him food that every plant that bears seed and every tree that bears fruit with seed, and God blessed and said him to be fruitful and multiply, to fill the earth, to subdue it, and to have dominion over all living things. He said, “It was very good,” and rested (Genesis 1:27-31).
Genesis 1 was very good in the eyes of God, but after Adam sinned and fell in Genesis 3, it became very bad in the eyes of God because sin came in and death passed upon all people because of that sin (Rom. 5:12).
The reason why God allowed His sinless Son to die on the cross like a serpent on the pole of Moses was to deliver us from sin and death to righteousness and life in Christ through His ransom death.
This was so that whoever hears and believes this fact through the Word may have eternal life. (John 3:14-15)
God's command is to believe in and receive His Son and have eternal life (John 12:50)
People who have lost God and died by death and become very bad are called into Christ, and if they believe and follow the Lord, God give them eternal life, justify them, and glorify them, and God sees them as very good.
Then we have righteousness, peace and joy.
Due to material civilization, information and knowledge are overflowing and the atmosphere of well-being is prevailing, but why are all humans in the world going crazy
That's only one cause.
It is because they embrace death and cry out for welfare, peace, and happiness, God sees it as very bad.
Our greatest enemy is death.
Just as Adam and Eve covered their shame with fig leaves because they were afraid of God and were ashamed of people, that's when the human masquerade started.
As a result, unintended results are derived, as Hegel said in a bizarre phrase, ‘the trick of reason’.
There is an invisible hand behind humans, so no matter how hard they try, things don't go their way.
The invisible hand they are unaware of is death with which humans are born.
The urgent reason why we must affirm the faith that Christ is in us is that we must overcome this death through the life that is in him, the eternal life.
So, Paul says that if we do not unite with Christ, we have no choice but to lament over ourselves who do not do the good we want and do the evil we do not want, saying, “O wretched man that I am! who will deliver me from this body of death?” (Rom. 7:24)
Because our Lord Jesus Christ dwells in us, we have been set free from the law of sin and death by the law of Spirit of life (Rom. 8:1-2)
He gave us the freedom to escape from the wretchedness that comes from living according to the flesh and live by radiating the energy of Christ's life that comes from living according to the spirit.
It is the blessing of eternal life that Christ dwells in us.
Therefore, we must test and receive confirmation everyday that we have become a king-like priest who rules the environment and circumstances by eating and drinking Christ as a person who died and rose again with Christ.
