This will change to all snow later this afternoon and evening. Most will see less than an inch of snow but those along and north of I-64 will see the best chance of an inch between just before sunset till 9 p.m. In some of the more robust snow showers, visibility may be limited due to gusty winds. Winds may gust this evening between 25 and 30 mph. Some slick spots are possible, especially on untreated roadways, during the evening hours and into early Christmas Day. Christmas morning will be dry and cold though some flurries are possible before sunrise; temperatures only make it into the 30s. The cold temperatures look to stick around for most of this week with an extra shot of cold air surging in late Tuesday into Wednesday. Active weather is expected to return to WAVE Country towards the end of the week.
