Title: Bringing Back Memories from the 2004 WCO World Culture Open!

While looking through YouTube videos, I happened to find a video that I had completely forgotten about.

​It is the stage of the "WCO (World Culture Open) Cultural Competition" that I joined back in 2004! Looking at the video subtitle, it turns out it was an event held in Seoul.

​At that time, we showed a pretty long demonstration split into 5 parts.

I participated by leading my instructors and an elementary school demonstration team, but I cannot remember exactly where in Seoul it took place.

​Since we were all busy performing in the demonstration together, we could not take a single photo or video.

Because I had completely forgotten about it, it was even left out of my life history and records, making it such a precious memory.

​When WCO opened their YouTube channel in 2013, they uploaded the demonstration videos of various martial arts groups that participated back then.

Fortunately, all 5 parts of the United World Haedong Kumdo Federation were uploaded just as they were.

​Now that time has passed and it is 2026, seeing myself from 22 years ago on the screen—running around busily all over the country for local events and dojang events—brings back so many mixed feelings.

​Wearing red demonstration uniforms together, sweating hard with my instructors and kids, that hot passion and those bright eyes are still as vivid as yesterday.

​To all the numerous students who trained with me back then, and to everyone who remembers these precious ties as time has gone by!
​I hope we can share these happy memories together through today's video. 💪🔥

제목: 2004년 WCO 월드컬쳐오픈 추억 소환!

​유튜브 동영상을 살피다 우연히 까마득히 잊고 있던 영상을 발견했다.

​2004년도에 참가했던 'WCO(월드컬쳐오픈) 문화경연' 무대이다! 영상 자막을 보니 서울에서 열렸던 행사였다.

​당시에 5부에 걸친 꽤 긴 시범을 선보였었는데, 사범들과 초등생시범단을 이끌고 참가했었다.
다만 서울 어디쯤이었는지 정확한 장소는 기억이 안 난다.

​함께 시범을 뛰느라 사진이나 영상 한 장 제대로 남기지 못해 아쉬웠고, 까마득히 잊었던 부분이라 활동 약력에도 빠져 있던 소중한 추억이다.

​WCO 측에서 유튜브 채널을 2013년에 개설하면서 그 당시 참가했던 여러 무술 단체들의 시범 동영상들을 올려놓았는데,

사)세계해동검도연합회 편은 다행히 총 5편의 영상으로 고스란히 올라와 있었다.

​어느덧 세월이 흘러 2026년이 된 지금, 화면 속에서 정신없이 전국 방방곡곡을 돌아다니며 각 지역 행사와 도장 행사들로 누비던 22년 전의 나의 모습을 보니 만감이 교차한다.

​붉은 시범복을 다 함께 입고 사범들과 아이들과 함께 구슬땀을 흘리던 그 뜨거운 눈빛과 열정만큼은 어제 일처럼 생생하다.

​그 시절 함께 수련했던 수많은 제자들, 그리고 세월이 흘러 이 소중한 인연들을 기억하시는 모든 분들!

​오늘 영상으로나마 함께 반가운 추억을 나누면 좋겠다. 💪🔥
