Iced Horchata Latte  - 아이스 홀차타 라떼

Influenced by co-owner Nancy Aguirre’s Mexican heritage, as their Texas surroundings, the drink is comprised of house-made horchata and a double shot of espresso served over ice. “We use approximately half of the amount of sugar in a typical horchata to ensure we complement the espresso, not cover it,” says co-owner Harrison Cook. Rice, water, and cinnamon steep for twelve hours, resulting in a refreshing beverage that is lightly sweetened, spiced, and still espresso-forward. instagram.com/cenizoatx

TRRBL Latte - 테러블 러브 바나나 푸딩 라떼

“It’s inspired by the banana pudding I ate growing up,” says owner Brian Knowles, of his concoction made with house-made banana and chocolate syrups, Nilla wafer crumbles, and a dollop of whipped cream. “People are sometimes surprised banana ‘works’ with coffee, but it’s fairly subtle and not as sweet as it sounds. 3) Desnudo

Boggy Berry Latte - 보기 베리 라떼 (락토 발효 블루베리 라떼라고 하네요)

This incredibly sought-after iced latte (get it with oatmilk!) comes topped with lacto-fermented organic blueberries. “The name ‘Boggy’ was taken after ‘Boggy Creek Farm.’ We wanted to have a conversation with our customers about this sustainable local producer and what they do,” says co-Founder and head roaster Sergio Trujillo. desnudocoffee.com

Hot tip: Lines start forming before Desnudo opens at 7:30 and they will sell out. But the team makes the wait worthwhile by handing out samples.

Rosemary Brown Sugar Latte - 로즈베리 브라운 슈가 라떼

Due to its overwhelming popularity, this latte graduated from a seasonal flavor to a year-round menu item this spring. Developed by one of its baristas experimenting with the rosemary bush in their yard, Brentwood landed on the final woodsy, lightly sweet flavor. brentwoodsocial.com

5) Foxtrot

Tiramisu Latte - 티라미수 라떼

The combination of rich tiramisu syrup, espresso, cold foam, and cocoa powder at this Chicago-based convenience store chain actually came to many locations via an online Instagram bracket, where it beat out 15 other cafe specials. “What brings it to a new level is the addition our coffee development team came up with of cold foam reminiscent of the light, airy, texture of tiramisu,” says social media manager, Jasen Emamian. And the cocoa powder dusting making the drink’s resemblance to its classic counterpart uncanny.” foxtrotco.com

Cereal Milk Cold Brew - 씨리얼 밀크 콜드 브루

This fruity, not-too-sweet drink mashes up cold brew, Fruity Pebbles infused oat milk, as well as crushed cereal on top. “This drink captures that ’90s nostalgia and adds some caffeine to it. It’s shaken to give it a nice foam layer, poured over ice,” Merit notes on Instagram. meritcoffee.com

7) Houndstooth Coffee

Peach Cobbler Latte - 복숭아 카블러 라떼 (9/17일까지 시즈널)

An idea sparked by Sa-Tén’s kitchen manager, and brought to life by its barista manager, this peach-focused invention is a spin-off of last year’s Garden Grove Latte (orange, rosemary, and honey). “It’s reasonably sweet, with flavors of ice cream, pie crust, and baking spices, with peach as the finishing note,” says owner Kayo Asazu. “The espresso still comes through, but it doesn’t overpower the other fun flavors of the drink.” sa-ten.com

9) Trouble in the Streets - 트러블 인 더 스트릿츠 (커피 + 허브+ 스파이스)

Part of an ongoing collaborative series with local musicians, Trouble in the Streets (also the name of the band) pairs Try Hard’s washed Kenyan coffee and selected homeopathic and apoptogenic herbs and spices from Good Wolf Provisions. “We partner with Austin musicians to release a vinyl record that comes with a special coffee picked by the artist,” says co-founder (and US Barista Championship competitor) Raechel Hurd. “We develop our signature drinks based off of the coffee they choose.” The result is an earthly, mocha-esque latte that benefits from an added gram of Redeemer CBD oil. tryhardcoffee.com
