<p>연꽃</p><p> </p><p>청강 고운석</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>깊은 진흙 속에서</p><p>연근을 밟고</p><p>연근을 밟고</p><p>박차고 나온 연꽃</p><p>고개를 쳐들고</p><p>중생(衆生)을 위함인가</p><p>꽃마다 점등으로</p><p>불 밝힌</p><p>부처의 자비</p><p> </p><p>푸르고 넓은 잎은</p><p>영롱한 물방울 구르다</p><p>부처의 사리를 품고</p><p>사찰(寺刹)에서 들려오는</p><p>범종 소리에</p><p>식지 않는 신열로</p><p>심지 세워</p><p>환한 대낮에도</p><p>온누리 불 밝히는</p><p> </p><p>연꽃</p><p>A Lotus Flower</p><p> </p><p>Cheonggang Go Woon-seok</p><p> </p><p>In the deep mud,</p><p>Stepping on the lotus root,</p><p>Stepping on the lotus root,</p><p>A lotus flower has sprung out of its path</p><p>With its head up.</p><p>Is it for the sake of the people?</p><p>The mercy of the Buddha,</p><p>Alit</p><p>With the ignition on every flower.</p><p> </p><p>The leaves green and wide,</p><p>With glossy drips rolling,</p><p>Cherish Buddha’s sarira.</p><p>At the sound of the bell</p><p>From the temple,</p><p>Putting the wick up</p><p>With unceasing fervor,</p><p>Lighting the world</p><p>Even in the bright light of day is,</p><p> </p><p>A lotus flower.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
