A study on atmospheric turbidity in Seoul, Oh S. N.(1975), analyzed the secular and seasonal changes in atmospheric turbidity in Seoul based on meteorological observations. The atmospheric turbidity parameters of Linke and Schuepp for Seoul during the epriod from 1961 to 2000 are analyzed. Bth turbidity factors and Schuepp turbidity factors were calculated to analyze the hourly and secular variation of 0900, 1200 and 1500 LST (Local Standard Time), and to investigate the correlation with atmospheric turbidity factors. The results showed a secular increase of 24 percent and 54 percent for Linke turbidity and Schuepp respectively, of which the seasonal variation characterize maximum in early Summer and minimum in winter. The seasonal variations coincide with results obtained by the other investigators elsewhere. |
