  Section 4 : Wisdom(智,지)... Wisdom... Article 172.

智(지)는 아는 것(知,지)의 스승이며 재능(才,재)의 스승이고 德(덕)의 벗이다.
  Wisdom(智,지) is the master of knowledge(知,지), the master of talent(才,재),
  and the companion of virtue(德,덕).  

知(지)는 능히 사물의 이치를 환희 알게 되는 것이며 재능(才,재)은 능히 명확한 판단을 내리게 하는 것이다.
  Knowledge enables one to clearly comprehend the principles of all things,
  while talent allows one to render definitive judgments.

德(덕)은 능히 감동하게 하여 자연스럽게 착해지게 하는 것으로서
오로지 哲人(철인)의 지혜만이 인간을 구제 하는데 사용된다.
  Virtue moves the heart to naturally incline toward goodness,
  and it is solely the wisdom of the sage(哲人,철인) that is employed to deliver humanity.

智者는 知之師也며 才之師也며 德之友也라 (지자는 지지사야며 재지사야며 덕지우야라)
  A wise person is the master of knowladge,
  the guide of talent, and the companion of virtue.
  
知能通達하며 才能剖判하며 德能感化하나니 (지능통달하며 재능부판하며 덕능감화하나니)
  Knowledge leads to thorough understanding, talent enables clear judgment,
   and virtue inspires and transforms others.

惟哲人之智라야 用濟人이니라. (유철인지지라야 용제인이니라.)
  Therefore, only the wisdom of a truly wise person can be used
   to benefit and save humanity.
