ULSAN, Nov. 6 (Yonhap) -- A large structure collapsed at a thermal power plant in the southeastern city of Ulsan on Thursday, trapping a presumed seven people, authorities said.
​
The collapse was reported at the Ulsan branch of Korea East-West Power Co., a state-run utility company, shortly after 2 p.m.
​
Firefighting officials said two people were rescued from under the structure, and a search was under way for another seven.

(울산=연합뉴스) 김근주 기자 = 6일 오후 2시 7분께 울산 남구 용잠동 한국동서발전 울산발전본부 울산화력발전소에서 60m 높이 보일러 타워가 무너졌다.

소방 당국은 신고를 받고 출동해 2명을 구조했으며, 현재 7명이 매몰된 것으로 추정하고 있다.

구조된 2명은 생명에 지장은 없는 상태인 것으로 파악됐다.

사고 보일러 타워는 철거를 앞두고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.

소방 당국은 펌프차 3대 등 장비 총 13대와 인력 50여 명을 투입해 수색·구조 작업 중이다.

김민석 국무총리는 "가용자원을 총동원해 인명을 구조하라"고 지시했다.
