Luke 16:19~31

19 There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day.


20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores


21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.


22 The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried.


23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.


24 So he called to him, Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.


25 But Abraham replied, Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.


26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.


27 He answered, Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family,


28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.


29 Abraham replied, They have Moses and the Prophets let them listen to them.


30 No, father Abraham, he said, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.


31 He said to him, If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.

25 그러나 아브라함이 대답했다. 아들아, 네가 살아 있을 때 좋은 것을 받았고, 나사로는 나쁜 것을 받았지만, 이제 그는 여기서 위로를 받고 너희는 고통받고 있다는 것을 기억하라.
그리고 이 모든 것 외에도, 우리와 당신 사이에는 큰 틈이 마련되어 있어서, 여기서 당신에게로 가고자 하는 사람들은 여기서 우리에게로 건너갈 수도 없고, 아무도 건너갈 수도 없습니다.
27 그가 대답했다. 그러면 아버지께 부탁드립니다. 라자루스를 우리 가족에게 보내주세요,
내 형제가 다섯 명이나 있으니 28명이요. 그가 그들에게 경고하게 하여 그들이 이 고통의 장소에 오지 않도록 하게 하소서.
29 아브라함이 대답했습니다. 모세와 예언자들이 그들의 말을 들어주었습니다.
30 아니요, 아브라함 신부님, 그는 말했습니다. 그러나 죽은 자들 중 누군가가 그들에게 가면, 그들은 회개할 것입니다.
31 그는 그에게 말했다. 만약 그들이 모세와 예언자들의 말을 듣지 않으면, 누군가 죽음에서 살아나더라도 확신할 수 없을 것이다.)
