天道(천도)를 밝히고 天道(천도)에 관한 哲人(철인)의 說(설)을 이어서 논술하는 것은

사람들의 욕심을 억제하기 위하여 미리 베풀어 두는 것이다.

  llluminating the Heavenly Way(天道,천도) and continuously expounding upon the doctrines

  of sages regarding it is a preemptive provision meant to suppress human desires.

戒命(계명)을 모아 책으로 만들고 마음에 깊이 새길 말씀을 모으는 것은

사람이 몸을 닦아 행실을 바르게 하도록 준비를 하는 것이다.

  Compiling commandments into a book and gathering words to be deeply engraved upon

   the heart serves as a preparation for individuals to cultivate themeselves and rectify their conduct.

하늘을 대신하여 베풀고 준비하는 것은 만세 토록 사람을 구제하는 교훈이 되는 것이다.

  To provide and prepare on behalf of Heaven becomes a timeless lesson

   that saves humanity for ten thousand generations.

明天理하며 述天道者는 制人欲之預說也요 編戒命하며 (명천리하며 술천도자는 제인욕지예설야요 편계명하며 )

  Those who clarify the laws of Heaven and expound upon the Heavenly Way offer a preemptive

   discourse to control human desires;

纂心銘者는 修人身之 準備也니 (찬심명자는 수인신지 준비야니)

  Compiling commandments and gathering inscriptions for the heart is the preparation 

  for cultivating the human body and self.

代天設備는 爲萬世濟物之鑑이니라.(대천설비는 위만세제물지감이니라.)

  Providing and equipping on behalf of Heaven serves as a timeless mirror(model)

  for saving all living things across ten thousand generations.

이 내용이야말로 여러 배달민족의 성인들께서 경전을 저술하신 목적이며,

특히 본 경전이 영원히 존재해야 하는 당위성이다. 

  This very content represents the purpose for which the various sages of the Baedal)Korean)

   nation authored the scriptures, and it highlights the definitve necessity of why this particular

   scripture must exist eternally.
