I'm awfully sorry for being lazy, Sir.
I haven't got your mobilization order until 10 minutes ago.
When I first glanced at it, I could hardly believe that it's for me,
even though I found my name clearly written on it.
That's not because I'm a rookie, not an old-timer,
but because I almost forgot how to fire a gun.
You know, it's been a long time
since I got the last preliminary rifle instruction (PRI).
Anyway, I'll join the throng of old buddies
as soon as I find my rifle and helmet, let alone uniform.
By the way, where on earth did I put my bullets?
from one of your men,
Steroids the Private

Usually each cafe has its own unique color and taste. Cafe owners target a certain age or interest group as their prime customers and equip their cafe accordingly with properly selected decorations and music. The participating customers also help create that unique culture.
In our cafe EACIE, we are blessed with members in a wide range of age groups and with equally diverse backgrounds and interests. Some are youth students whose prime interest may be to learn English. Others are young adults for whom finding friends and socializing may be just as important as learning English. Still others are more mature adults who hang around to learn and teach English, express and share thoughts and widsom, and of course to socialize.
Interestingly, different age groups seem to hang aroung in different rooms of our cafe. At least, this has particularly been true for us old-timers. (Most of them wouldn't complain if I dare to name them as the Ajuma/Ajussi group.) This group usually hangs around in the Morningstar and the Moonlight Chat rooms. Nobody set any rules but they naturally seem to gather around these rooms. They dominated these rooms and created the culture.
Recently, however, in the temporary absence of our ever-so-active members such as Cafemia and Amaryllis, our space has been "invaded" by other younger groups. Older folks don't seem to have the energy and time to defend their territory againt the surge of attacks from the young blood. Only Hera is putting up the lonely and brave fight to defend the fortress.
My dear old friends! - Cafemia, Amaryllis, Smiley, Amos, M-Julia, Hera, Rambee, Steroids, Hermes, Yoontaek, Ray, Golden Age, Antagonist, Kenneth Chang, Polar, Cretien, Clara, Hympastel, and other veterans. Rise up, put on your armour, and join in the holy war of defending your territory. Remember? We old soldiers never die; we just fade away!

Please don't be discouraged to post your writings on these boards. My writing is intended just for fun and should not be taken seriously.)
