1. What is the contents of the text?

-1.Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam began Abijah to reign over Judah.
-2.He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Michaiah the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. And

-there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.
-3.And Abijah set the battle in array with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men:

-Jeroboam also set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, being mighty men of valour.
-4.And Abijah stood up upon mount Zemaraim, which is in mount Ephraim, and said, Hear me, thou Jeroboam, and

-all Israel;
-5.Ought ye not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him

-and to his sons by a covenant of salt?
-6.Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, is risen up, and hath rebelled against his lord.
-7.And there are gathered unto him vain men, the children of Belial, and have strengthened themselves against

-Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tenderhearted, and could not withstand them.
-8.And now ye think to withstand the kingdom of the LORD in the hand of the sons of David; and ye be a great

-multitude, and there are with your golden calves, which Jeroboam made you for gods.
-9.Have ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests

-after the manner of the nations of other lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young

-bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods.
-10.But as for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and the priests, which minister unto the

-LORD, are the sons of Aaron, and the Levites wait upon their business:
-11.And they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense: the shewbread

-also set they in order upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every

-evening: for we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but ye have forsaken him.
-12.And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against

-you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper.
-13.But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they were before Judah, and the

-ambushment was behind them.
-14.And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind: and they cried unto the LORD, and the

-priests sounded with the trumpets.
-15.Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam

-and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.
-16.And the children of Israel fled before Judah: and God delivered them into their hand.
-17.And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand

-chosen men.

-18.Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they

-relied upon the LORD God of their fathers.
-19.And Abijah pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Bethel with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah with

-the towns thereof, and Ephraim with the towns thereof.
-20.Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of Abijah: and the LORD struck him, and he died.
-21.But Abijah waxed mighty, and married fourteen wives, and begat twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters.
-22.And the rest of the acts of Abijah, and his ways, and his sayings, are written in the story of the prophet Iddo.

-1.So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead.

-In his days the land was quiet ten years.

-전쟁의 성패가 전쟁터에서 결정되는 것이 아니라 전쟁터에 오기 전까지 전사들의

-삶에서 결정되는 것이 영적 전투의 특징이다. 긴박한 상황에서 하나님께 매달리지

-않는 이가 어디 있겠는가? 하지만 그 붙듦과 매달림이 진정한 믿음인지

-아닌지는 일상에서 결정된다.

-이겨도 이긴 것이 아니고 져도 진 것이 아닌 싸움이 있습니다. 전쟁은 하나님께 속했으니 내가 할

-진정한 싸움은 내 편을 정리하는 일입니다. 내가 하나님 편에 속해야 합니다.  하나님과 대적의

-싸움이 되게 해야 합니다. 그것이 순종이고 에배입니다. 아비야가 승리한 방식을 보시라. 

3) 하나님은 어떤 분인가?

-다윗의 후손과 소금언약을 맺으셨던 하나님

-하나님을 의지하면 함께 하심

-아비야 편에 서서 여로보암을 무찌르심

4) 내게 주시는 교훈은 무엇인가?

-전쟁의 성패

-르호보암이 백성들의 괴로움을 외면한 것처럼 내가 외면하지 않게

-둘째, 누님의 문제를 내 감정이 아닌 말씀에 따라 사랑의 원리 적용하기

-우리들의 무너진 가정을 일으켜 주옵소서.

-가족들의 약한 부분을 내가 기쁘게 수용할 수 있도록 도우소서.

-집안의 남자들이 바르게 가정을 경영하며 아내의 소리를 잘 듣고 품을 수 있기를

-끝까지 사랑의 방법으로 남편들의 권위를 세우는 아내가 되기를

-허물이 있지만 겸비하여 구하면 은혜를 주시는 하나님을 바라보기

4. Presentations Prayer

솔로몬이 저지른 죄를 아들 르호보암이 거두지 못하고 손자 아비야의 대에

와서 조차도 걷어내야 할 죄를 처리하지 못하므로 말미암아 위기에 봉착한

남북의 왕국 사를 묵상하고 있습니다. 소금언약을 기억하시고 연약한 아비야의

편에 서서 여로보암을 무찌르신 주님, 죄는 어찌하든지 처리해야 하는 것을

깨닫게 하였사오니 지금 겸비하게 하옵소서. 하나님을 내편으로 삼는 것이

아니라 내가 하나님 편에 속하는 삶을 살게 하옵소서. 하나님이 붙들지 아니하시면

대군의 무력이라도 유다에게 괴멸되는 것을 기억하고 늘 하나님 편에 있는

하룻강아지가 될지언정 하나님의 반대편에 서는 범이 되지 않도록 도와주옵소서.
