Jeremy and The Eternal Now | 제레미의 영원한 현재 |
And what I know now about dream experience is (that) it matters, it's not idle fantasy, is (as) a matter of fact there's reason to suppose that it matters more in what from the clock and calendar world looks like the long run than the seemingly intractable physical details of our lives because in what appears to be the afterlife, it is the dream that persists not the physical reality. (....) Yep. Yep. (.....) Yep. And just the law of the conservation of energy, which I think is pretty clearly demonstrated, energy cannot be created or destroyed, (It is) only changed from one expression to another. So the question arises what happens to the energy of the living being when the obviously observable physical life ends. It seems to me that if physics teaches us anything, it teaches us that whatever that energy is, immeasurable at this moment though it may be, but at least we know it is energy. Whatever that energy is changes and goes what looks like somewhere else and does what appears to be something else, but in fact it's all one. // We all live in the eternal now that the beginning and the middle and end are in fact all happening at once. And the illusion of the arc of time is very persuasive. The evidence is immense. But even Albert Einstein, whom I do not pretend to understand, was driven to the conclusion that past present and future are an illusion, that there is only the now. He doesn't call it the etenal now but he might as well because it is etenal.
