(시34:1-22)
1 Of David. When he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he left. I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.  2 My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.  3 Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.  4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.  5 Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.  6 This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.  7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.  8 Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.  9 Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing.  10 The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.  11 Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.  12 Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,  13 keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.  14 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.  15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry;  16 the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.  17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.  18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.  19 A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;  20 he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.  21 Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned.  22 The LORD redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.

다윗은 하나님께 여쭙지 않고
상황에 밀려
아마도 600명의 부하들의 동의가 있었을 수도 있는
블레셋으로의 사울로부터의 도피를 실행에 옮긴 사실이 있다

삼상17:45-47 다윗이 블레셋의 장군 골리앗을 전사하게 만든 일과
그 후로 겪은 일들 때문에 
블레셋 왕 아기스를 비롯하여 신하들 그리고 백성들까지 
다윗에 대한 감정이 좋을리 없음으로 인하여
막상 블레셋으로 피난을 하여 정신을 차리고 나니... 오판(誤判)!

거기는 살 자리가 아니라 
죽을 자리 였던 것
이런 진퇴양난(進退兩難) 사면초가(四面楚歌)의 상황에서
어쩌면 하나님의 성령의 힌트였는지도 모를
미친척 연기를 실감나게 해야 했던 것

약1860년대 흥선대원군이 생각난다
왕족이기에 자칫하면 정적(政敵)들의 표적이 되어
반역으로 몰려 죽임을 당할 위기...
그것을 모면하기 위하여 
적들의 마음을 안심시키기 위하여 취했던 그 미친 짓 모자란 짓...

다윗은 흥선대원군과는 달리
그러는 와중에도 하나님을 신뢰하고
그의 마음은 항상 하나님을 피난처로 삼고
하나님을 찬양하며 
그 표현속에 간절한 구원의 소망을 담아 하나님께 기도했다는 것이 특별하다 하겠다

특히18절
‘The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit’
HNR은 ‘여호와는 마음이 상한 자를 가까이 하시고 충심으로 통회하는 자를 구원하시는도다’
HNR의 번역보다는 NIV가 훨씬 마음에 와 닷는다
‘주님은 마음이 상한자에게 가까이 하시며 눌린(침체된)영혼(靈魂)의 소유자를 구원하신다’ 라는 NIV...

살다보면 다윗처럼 쇼(show)를 해야 할 때도 있다
살기 위해서
살아남기 위해서
또한 상황을 더 나쁘지 않게 하기 위해서
상황을 보다 좋게 하기 위해서...

어린아이 시절에는 
흑백논리(黑白論理)
진실(眞實)을 가짜화 시키는 것에 대해 혐오(嫌惡)함이 대체적(大體的) 일색(一色)
그러나 어른이 되면 그래야만 할 때를 인지(認知)...
목회를 할 때도 마찬가지...

오늘 본문을 통해서 하나님은
다윗의 경우를 보여주시면서
그래도 변치 말아야 할 언행심사(言行心思)
하나님께 영광을 돌리기 위해서
때로는 비겁한 언행심사도 할 수 있다는 뉴앙스(nuance)를 주신다
