(민13:30-33) 갈렙이 모세 앞에서 백성을 조용하게 하고 이르되 우리가 곧 올라가서 그 땅을 취하자 능히 이기리라 하나 31. 그와 함께 올라갔던 사람들은 이르되 우리는 능히 올라가서 그 백성을 치지 못하리라 그들은 우리보다 강하니라 하고 32. 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 그 정탐한 땅을 악평하여 이르되 우리가 두루 다니며 정탐한 땅은 그 거주민을 삼키는 땅이요 거기서 본 모든 백성은 신장이 장대한 자들이며 33. 거기서 네피림 후손인 아낙 자손의 거인들을 보았나니 우리는 스스로 보기에도 메뚜기 같으니 그들이 보기에도 그와 같았을 것이니라.

(Nm 13:30, ESV) But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, "Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it."

(Nm 13:31, ESV) Then the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are."

(Nm 13:32, ESV) So they brought to the people of Israel a bad report of the land that they had spied out, saying, "The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people that we saw in it are of great height.

(Nm 13:33, ESV) And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim), and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we seemed to them."

Bilang 13:30-33 "Subalit pinatahimik ni Caleb ang mga taong-bayan na nagrereklamo na noon kay Moises. Sinabi ni Caleb, "Hindi tayo dapat mag-aksaya ng panahon. If I were to describe Caleb in one word, I would say he was a man of faith.

수많은 이스라엘 백성들이 믿음이 없어 광야에서 하나님을 원망하다가 죽었습니다.

Many Israelites died in the wilderness because they had no faith and complained about God.

Maraming Israelita ang namatay sa ilang dahil wala silang pananampalataya at nagreklamo laban sa Diyos.

그러나 갈렙은 그렇지 않았습니다.

But Caleb was not like that.

Pero hindi ganoon si Caleb.

민14:24은 갈렙에 대하여 이렇게 말씀합니다.

Numbers 14:24 says this about Caleb:

(Nm 14:24, ESV) But my servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed me fully, I will bring into the land into which he went, and his descendants shall possess it.

God acknowledges Caleb's faith and leads him to the land he had already seen, and tells him that his descendants will possess it.

그렇다면 하나님께서 인정하신 갈렙의 믿음은 어떤 믿음이었을까요?

So what kind of faith was Caleb’s that God acknowledged?

Kaya anong uri ng pananampalataya ang kay Caleb na kinilala ng Diyos?

1. 갈렙의 믿음은 말씀에서 흔들리지 않는 믿음입니다.

1. Caleb's faith was an unwavering faith in the Word.

1. Ang pananampalataya ni Caleb ay isang hindi natitinag na pananampalataya sa Salita.

민14:30 갈렙이 모세 앞에서 백성을 조용하게 하고 이르되 우리가 곧 올라가서 그 땅을 취하자 능히 이기리라 하나

(Nm 14:30, ESV) not one shall come into the land where I swore that I would make you dwell, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

민14:30 isa man ay walang makakarating sa lupaing ipinangako ko, maliban kina Caleb na anak ni Jefune at Josue na anak ni Nun.

갈렙이 이렇게 말한 이유는 하나님께서 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 하신 약속을 기억했기 때문입니다.

The reason Caleb said this was because he remembered the promise God made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Ang dahilan kung bakit sinabi ito ni Caleb ay dahil naalala niya ang pangako ng Diyos kay Abraham, Isaac, at Jacob.

창13:14-15을 보면 하나님은 아브람에게 말씀하셨습니다.

In Genesis 13:14-15, God spoke to Abram:

(Gen 13:14, ESV) The LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him, "Lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward,

(Gen 13:15, ESV) for all the land that you see I will give to you and to your offspring forever.

출3:17을 보면 하나님은 모세에게도 말씀하셨습니다.

In Exodus 3:17 we see that God also spoke to Moses.

(Ex 3:17, ESV) “and I promise that I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, a land flowing with milk and honey.”

Exodo 3:17 “Dahil dito, ilalabas ko sila sa bansang iyon na nagpapahirap sa kanila. Dadalhin ko sila sa isang mayaman at masaganang lupain; ang lupain ng mga Cananeo, ng mga Heteo, ng mga Amoreo, ng mga Perezeo, ng mga Hivita at ng mga Jebuseo.”

다시 말한다면, 가나안 땅은 하나님께서 이스라엘 백성에게 주겠다고 약속하신 약속의 땅이었습니다.

In other words, the land of Canaan is the promised land that God promised to give to the Israelites.

Sa madaling salita, ang lupain ng Canaan ay ang lupang pangako na ipinangako ng Diyos na ibibigay sa mga Israelita.

그런데 12명의 정탐군이 40일 동안 가나안을 정탐하고 돌아와서 보고하는데, 그중에 10명이 다음과 같이 보고합니다.

Then, twelve spies returned from scouting Canaan for 40 days and reported back, and ten of them reported as follows:

They were dispirited and turned negative even before they started fighting.

However, Joshua and Caleb's report was different.

Gayunpaman, iba ang ulat nina Joshua at Caleb.

우리가 하나님께서 우리에게 주신다고 약속하신 땅을 가서 보니, 너무나도 아름답고 훌륭하였습니다.

When we went to the land that God promised to give us, it was so beautiful and wonderful.

Nang pumunta kami at nakita namin ang lupaing ipinangako sa amin ng Diyos, napakaganda at kamangha-mangha.

그러므로 우리모두는 하나님의 약속을 믿고 속히 그곳에 가서 그 땅을 취합시다.

Therefore, let us all believe in God’s promise and go there quickly to take possession of the land.

Kaya naman, maniwala tayong lahat sa pangako ng Diyos at magtungo kaagad doon upang angkinin ang lupain.

갈렙과 여호수아는 그들과 함께 동일한 것을 봤습니다.

Caleb and Joshua saw the same thing with them.

Nakita nila Caleb at Joshua ang parehong bagay sa kanila.

가나안 족속들은 기골이 장대했고 강한 것은 사실이었습니다.

It is true that the Canaanites were large and strong.

Totoo na ang mga Cananeo ay malaki at malakas.

그러나 갈렙과 여호수아는 생각이 달랐습니다.

But Caleb and Joshua had different ideas.

Pero iba ang iniisip nina Caleb at Joshua.

그들은 지금까지 함께 하셨던 하나님이 그들에게 주겠다고 약속하신 그 약속을 믿었습니다.

They believed in the promise that God, who had been with them until now, had promised to give them.

Naniwala sila sa pangakong ipinangako ng Diyos, na kasama nila hanggang noon, na ibibigay sa kanila.

그들은 말씀 안에서 가나안 족속들을 생각했습니다.

They thought of the Canaanites in the word.

But when the people heard only negative reports, they grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and said, “It would have been better for us to have died in Egypt,” and they regretted that they had come out of Egypt.

They set up a minister and cried all night long, saying, Let us go back to Egypt.

At that time Moses and Aaron fell on their faces in fear of God, and Joshua and Caleb tore their clothes and said,

Nang panahong iyon sina Moises at Aaron ay nagpatirapa sa takot sa Diyos, ngunit pinunit nina Joshua at Caleb ang kanilang mga damit at sinabi,

민14:7-10 “이스라엘 자손의 온 회중에게 말하여 이르되 우리가 두루 다니며 정탐한 땅은 심히 아름다운 땅이라 여호와께서 우리를 기뻐하시면 우리를 그 땅으로 인도하여 들이시고 그 땅을 우리에게 주시리라 이는 과연 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅이니라 다만 여호와를 거역하지는 말라 또 그 땅 백성을 두려워하지 말라 그들은 우리의 먹이라 그들의 보호자는 그들에게서 떠났고 여호와는 우리와 함께 하시느니라 그들을 두려워하지 말라”

(Nm 14:7, ESV) and said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, "The land, which we passed through to spy it out, is an exceedingly good land.

(Nm 14:8, ESV) If the LORD delights in us, he will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land that flows with milk and honey.

(Nm 14:9, ESV) Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their protection is removed from them, and the LORD is with us; do not fear them."

(Nm 14:10, ESV) Then all the congregation said to stone them with stones. But the glory of the LORD appeared at the tent of meeting to all the people of Israel.

Bilang 14:7 "Sinabi nila," "Mainam ang lupaing tiningnan namin, saganang-sagana sa lahat ng bagay."

Bilang 14:8 Kung maluugod sa atin si Yahweh, ibibigay niya sa atin ang lupaing iyon na mayaman at sagana sa lahat ng bagay.

여호수아와 갈렙은 하나님의 약속을 신뢰하는 확고한 믿음으로 담대하게 선포합니다.

Joshua and Caleb boldly proclaim with firm faith that trusts in God's promise.

Si Joshua at Caleb ay buong tapang na nagpahayag nang may matatag na pananampalataya na nagtitiwala sa pangako ng Diyos.

그러자 회중이 벌떼처럼 그들에게 달려들어 두 사람을 돌로 치려 합니다.

Then the congregation came like a swarm of bees and tried to stone them.

Pagkatapos ang mga tao ay dumagsa patungo sa kanila tulad ng isang pulutong ng mga bubuyog, at sinusubukang batuhin sila.

그때에 여호와의 영광이 이스라엘 자손에게 나타나시며 백성들의 믿음 없음을 책망하십니다.

At that time, the glory of the Lord appeared to the children of Israel and rebuked them for their unbelief.

Noong panahong iyon ang kaluwalhatian ng Panginoon na nagpakita sa mga anak ng Israel at sinaway sila dahil sa kanilang kawalan ng pananampalataya.

이 일로 인하여 하나님은 믿음이 없는 백성들의 가나안 입성을 불허하시고, 이스라엘 백성들을 40년동안 광야에서 걷다가 죽게 하셨습니다.

Because of this, God did not allow the faithless people to enter Canaan, and made the Israelites wander in the wilderness for 40 years and die.

Dahil dito, hindi pinahintulutan ng Diyos ang mga taong walang pananampalataya na makapasok sa Canaan, at sa ilang ang mga Israelita sa loob ng 40 taon bago mamatay.

열 명은 믿음 없이 자신이 본 것을 보고했고, 두 명은 믿음을 가지고 보고했습니다.

Ten people reported what they saw without faith, and two people reported it with faith.

Sampung tao ang nag-ulat ng kanilang nakita nang walang pananampalataya, habang ang dalawa ay nag-ulat nito nang may pananampalataya.

그들은 어떤 상황에서도 하나님의 말씀을 의심하지 않았습니다.

They never doubted the word of God under any circumstances.

In this way, faith is the ability to remember the word of God and not be shaken in any situation.

2. 갈렙의 믿음은 분수를 아는 믿음입니다.

2. Caleb's faith is a faith that knows its place.

(Jos 14:13, ESV) Then Joshua blessed him, and he gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for an inheritance.

Josue 14:13 Binasbasan nga ni Josue si Caleb na anak ni Jefune, at ibinigay sa kanya ang Hebron.

갈렙은 여호수아와 같은 레벨의 사람인데도 그로부터 안수를 받았습니다.

Here is Caleb, who was of the same rank as Joshua, who received the laying on of hands by Joshua.

Si Caleb na kaparehong posisyon ni Joshua, ay natanggap ang kanyang basbas.

갈렙은 40년 동안 모세를 섬겼고, 그 후에 여호수아를 계속 도우며 그를 잘 섬겨주었습니다.

Caleb served Moses for 40 years, and then continued to help Joshua and served him well.

Knowing one's place and doing one's best in one's position is faith.

Just as Aaron served his brother Moses for 40 years, Caleb served Joshua.

When Israel conquered Canaan, the tribe of Judah under Caleb was always at the forefront of the fighting.

In short, the tribe of Judah became a model for all the tribes of Israel.

There are several adjectives that are used to describe Caleb in the Bible.

First, the name ‘Caleb’ has three meanings: ‘dog, servant, and attacker.’

And Caleb is always followed by the name of 'Kenazite'.

At ang pangalang 'Kenazite' ay palaging sumusunod sa pangalang Caleb.

그나스는 에서의 아들인 엘리바스의 다섯째 아들로서 일찍부터 에돔 족속의 하나입니다(대상1:36).

Kenaz was the fifth son of Eliphaz, the son of Esau, and was an Edomite from the beginning (1 Chronicles 1:36).

즉 갈렙은 이방 출신이었습니다.

That is, Caleb was of foreign descent.

그럼에도 그는 낙심하지 않고 언약의 진리에 서서 최선을 다했고, 유다지파의 대표자가 됩니다.

Nevertheless, he did not lose heart, but stood firm in the truth of the covenant, did his best, and became the representative of the tribe of Judah.

Gayunpaman, hindi siya nawalan ng loob, ngunit nanindigan siya sa katotohanan ng tipan, ginawa ang kanyang makakaya, at naging kinatawan ng tribo ni Juda.

When you know your position and are humble like this, joy and excitement will follow you.

내가 영원히 죽을 수밖에 없는 죄인임을 깨닫는다면 멸망의 구덩이에서 나를 건지신 주님을 만날 수 있습니다.

If I realize that I am a sinner who deserves to die forever, I can meet the Lord who saved me from the pit of destruction.

Kung napagtanto ko na ako ay isang makasalanang nakalaan para sa walang hanggang kamatayan, makakatagpo ko ang Panginoon na nagligtas sa akin mula sa hukay ng pagkawasak.

3. 갈렙의 믿음은 변하지 않는 믿음입니다.

3. Caleb's faith is an unchanging faith.

3. Ang pananampalataya ni Caleb ay isang hindi nagbabagong pananampalataya.

수14:10-12은 말씀합니다.

Numbers 14:10-12 says:

수14:10-12 “오늘 내가 팔십오 세로되 모세가 나를 보내던 날과 같이 오늘도 내가 여전히 강건하니 내 힘이 그 때나 지금이나 같아서 싸움에나 출입에 감당할 수 있으니 그 날에 여호와께서 말씀하신 이 산지를 지금 내게 주소서 당신도 그 날에 들으셨거니와 그 곳에는 아낙 사람이 있고 그 성읍들은 크고 견고할지라도 여호와께서 나와 함께 하시면 내가 여호와께서 말씀하신 대로 그들을 쫓아내리이다”

(Jos 14:10, ESV) And now, behold, the LORD has kept me alive, just as he said, these forty-five years since the time that the LORD spoke this word to Moses, while Israel walked in the wilderness. And now, behold, I am this day eighty-five years old.

(Jos 14:11, ESV) I am still as strong today as I was in the day that Moses sent me; my strength now is as my strength was then, for war and for going and coming.

(Jos 14:12, ESV) So now give me this hill country of which the LORD spoke on that day, for you heard on that day how the Anakim were there, with great fortified cities. It may be that the LORD will be with me, and I shall drive them out just as the LORD said."

Josue 14:10-12 Apatnapu't limang taon na ang lumipas buhat nang sabihin ito ni Yahweh kay Moises. Noo'y naglalakbay pa sa disyerto ang bayang Israel. Iningatan ni Yahweh ang buhay ko hanggang ngayon. Walumpu’t limang taon na ako ngayon.

Josue 14:11 ngunit hindi pa nagbabago ang lakas ko mula nang ako'y isugo ni Moises upang siyasatin ang lupaing ito. Kaya ko pang makipaglaban at gawin ang kahit anong trabaho.

Josue 14:12 "Kaya ibigay mo na sa akin ang kaburulang na ipinangako sa akin ni Yahweh. Narinig mo rin na mga higante ang nakatira doon at matitibay ang pader ng naglalakihan nilang lunsod. Ngunit sa tulong ni Yahweh ay palalayasin ko sila sa lupaing iyon gaya ng ipinangako niya."

그래서 갈렙은 유다지파의 족장으로서, 모세가 약속한 헤브론 땅을 달라고 여호수아에게 요청하였습니다.

Thus Caleb, as the chieftain of the tribe of Judah, asked Joshua for the land of Hebron, which Moses had promised.

Kaya naman, hiningi ni Caleb, bilang pinuno ng tribo ni Juda, kay Josue ang lupain ng Hebron na ipinangako ni Moises.

다른 지파들은 이미 정복된 땅을 가졌지만 갈렙은 아직 정복되지 않은 거인족들이 살고 있는 땅을 구하면서, 그것을 빼앗아 소유하겠다고 했습니다.

The other tribes had already conquered the land, but Caleb sought the land of the giants that had not yet been conquered, and he said that he would take it and possess it.

Habang ang ibang mga tribo ay nasakop na ang mga lupain, hinangad ni Caleb na agawin at sarilihin ang mga lupain ng mga higante na hindi pa nasakop.

그때 나이 85세였지만 그의 믿음이 약해지지 않았습니다.

At that time, he was 85 years old, but his faith did not weaken.

Bagaman walongput-limang (85) taong gulang na siya noon, hindi humina ang kanyang pananampalataya.

나이 따라 건강 따라 상황에 따라 변하는 믿음이 아니었습니다.

It was a belief that is not changed by age, health, and circumstances.

Ito ay isang pananamalataya na hindi nababago ng edad, kalusugan, at mga pangyayari.

대다수의 사람들은 나이만 들면 무조건 못하겠다고합니다.

Most people say that they can't do it when they get older.

Karamihan sa mga tao ay nagsasabi na hindi nila magagawa ang isang bagay habang sila ay tumatanda.

그러나 여러분은 이대로 죽기는 너무 억울해서라도 하시기 바랍니다.

But I hope you do it even if it's just because it's too bad to die like this.

Pero sana gawin niyo lahat, kahit mamatay ng ganito.

갈렙의 경우를 보면, 지금 저와 여러분은 가장 좋은 나이를 살고 있는 것입니다.

In Caleb's case, you and I are living the best years of our lives.

Sa kaso ni Caleb, ikaw at ako ay nabubuhay sa pinakamagagandang taon ng ating buhay.

우리는 갈렙을 통해서 우리의 믿음이 변치 않아야 함을 배우게 됩니다.

Through Caleb we learn that our faith must remain unwavering.

Sa pamamagitan ni Caleb nalaman natin na ang ating pananampalataya ay dapat na hindi natitinag.

4. 갈렙의 믿음은 자기 관리도 잘하는 믿음이었습니다.

4. Caleb's faith is a faith that excels in self-governance.

4. Ang pananampalataya ni Caleb ay isang pananampalatayang mahusay sa pamamahala sa sarili.

갈렙이 "내 힘이 그 때나 지금이나 같아서, 싸움이나 출입에 감당할 수 있다"고 말한 것을 보면 허풍이 아니고 사실이며, 육신이 강건했음을 봅니다.

When we see that Caleb said, "My strength is the same now as it was then, for fighting and for going out and coming in," we see that it was not boasting but fact, and that he was physically strong.

Kapag nakita natin na sinabi ni Caleb, “Ang lakas ko ngayon ay kapareho ng noon, sa pakikipaglaban at sa paglabas at pagpasok,” makikita natin na hindi ito pagmamayabang kundi katotohanan, na siya ay malakas sa pisikal.

하나님이 그를 강건하게 하셨지만 몸관리도 무시하지 않았음을 알 수 있습니다.

We can see that God made him strong, but he did not neglect to take care of his body.

Makikita natin na bagama't pinalakas siya ng Diyos, hindi niya pinabayaan ang pag-aalaga sa kanyang katawan.

우리의 몸이 강건하면, 건강은 우리 믿음을 도와줍니다.

When our bodies are strong, health helps our faith.

Kapag malakas ang ating katawan, nakakatulong ang kalusugan sa ating pananampalataya.

그런데 잠3:15-16은 말씀합니다.

But Proverbs 3:15-16 says:

Ngunit ang Kawikaan 3:15-16 ay nagsasabi:

잠3:15-16 “지혜는 진주보다 귀하니 네가 사모하는 모든 것으로도 이에 비교할 수 없도다 16 그의 오른손에는 장수가 있고 그의 왼손에는 부귀가 있나니”

(Pr 3:15, ESV) She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. 16 Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.

Kawikaan 3:15-16 Sa alinmang alahas ay higit ang karunungan, at walang kayamanang dito ay maipapantay. 16 Mahabang buhay ang dulot ng kaalaman, may taglay na kayamanan at may bungang karangalan.

우리가 믿음이 있다고 말하면서 지혜와 지식을 무시한다면, 그것은 거짓 믿음입니다.

If we say we have faith but ignore wisdom and knowledge, then that is a false faith.

Kung sasabihin nating tayo ay may pananampalataya ngunit binabalewala ang karunungan at kaalaman, kung gayon iyon ay isang maling pananampalataya.

초자연적인 신비한 간증도 좋지만 생활 속에 필요한 지혜의 말씀도 우리 삶을 크게 변화시킬 수 있습니다.

Supernatural and mysterious testimonies are good, but words of wisdom that are necessary in our daily lives can also greatly change our lives.

Ang mga supernatural at mahiwagang patotoo ay mahusay, ngunit ang mga salita ng karunungan na kailangan para sa ating pang-araw-araw na buhay ay maaari ding lubos na makapagpabago sa ating buhay.

하나님께서 갈렙을 통해 우리에게 보여 주시는 것은 우리가 하나님의 나라에 들어가려면 갈렙과 같은 믿음을 가져야 한다는 것입니다.

What God shows us through Caleb is that we must have the same faith as Caleb if we want to enter the kingdom of God.

Ang ipinakita sa atin ng Diyos sa pamamagitan ni Caleb ay dapat tayong magkaroon ng pananampalataya tulad ni Caleb kung nais nating makapasok sa kaharian ng Diyos.

그러므로 여러분도 갈렙처럼 주님과 함께 걸으시기를 바랍니다.

Therefore, I hope you walk with the Lord like Caleb.

Samakatuwid, umaasa akong lalakad ka kasama ng Panginoon tulad ni Caleb.

이스라엘 백성 모두가 광야에서 죽었지만, 주님의 뜻을 좇은 여호수아와 갈렙만은 가나안에 들어갔습니다.

All the people of Israel died in the wilderness, but Joshua and Caleb, who followed the will of the Lord, entered Canaan.

Ang lahat ng mga tao ng Israel ay namatay sa ilang, ngunit si Joshua at Caleb lamang, na sumunod sa kalooban ng Panginoon, ang pumasok sa Canaan.

이처럼 우리 모두도 늘 말씀과 기도로 천국을 향한 믿음을 견고히 하여, 결단코 흔들리지 않고 용기백배하며 영육 간에 건강한 복된 믿음의 백성들이 되시기 바랍니다.

In this way, I hope that we all will always strengthen our faith toward heaven through words and prayers, never waver, be courageous, and become blessed people of faith who are healthy both in spirit and body.

Sa ganitong paraan, umaasa ako na lagi nating palalakasin ang ating pananampalataya patungo sa langit sa pamamagitan ng mga salita at panalangin, hindi kailanman mag-alinlangan, maging matapang, at maging mapalad na tao ng pananampalataya na malusog sa espiritu at katawan.
