1. 형제의 사랑을 지속하고

Let brotherly love continue.

2. 나그네 대접하기를 잊지 말라. 이로써 어떤 자들이 알지 못하는 가운데 천사들을 대접하였느니라.

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

3. 결박 중에 있는 자들을 기억하되 그들과 함께 결박당한 것 같이 기억하고 너희도 몸 안에 있은즉 역경 당하는 자들을

    기억하라.

Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; [and] them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

4. 결혼은 모든 것 가운데 존귀한 것이요 잠자리는 더럽히지 말아야 하거니와 음행을 일삼는 자들과 간음하는 자들은

    [하나님]께서 심판하시리라.

Marriage [is] honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

5. 너희의 행실을 탐욕이 없게 하고 너희가 가진 것들로 만족하라. 그분께서 이르시되, 내가 결코 너를 떠나지 아니하고

    너를 버리지 아니하리라, 하셨느니라.

[Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

6. 그러므로 우리가 담대히 말하되, [주]께서 나를 돕는 분이시니 사람이 내게 무엇을 행하든지 내가 두려워하지

    아니하리라, 하노라.

So that we may boldly say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

7. [하나님]의 말씀을 너희에게 일러 주고 너희를 다스리는 자들을 기억하며 그들의 행실의 결말을 깊이 살펴보고

    그들의 믿음을 따르라.

Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of [their] conversation. 

8. 예수 그리스도는 어제나 오늘이나 영원토록 동일하시니라.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

9. 여러 가지 이상한 교리에 끌려 다니지 말라. 은혜로 마음을 굳게 함이 선한 일이요, 음식으로 할 것이 아니니 음식에

    전념하는 자들에게 음식이 유익을 끼치지 못하였느니라.

Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For [it is] a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

10. 우리에게 제단이 있는데 성막을 섬기는 자들은 제단에서 나오는 것을 먹을 권리가 없느니라.

We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.

11. 그 짐승들의 피는 죄로 인하여 대제사장이 성소 안으로 가지고 들어가고 그것들의 몸은 진영 밖에서 불사르나니

For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.

12. 그러므로 예수님께서도 친히 자신의 피로 백성을 거룩히 구별하시려고 성문 밖에서 고난을 당하셨느니라.

Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

13. 그런즉 우리가 그분의 치욕을 짊어지고 진영 밖에 계신 그분께로 나아가자.

Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

14. 여기에서는 우리에게 영구한 도시가 없고 우리가 다가오는 도시를 찾나니

For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

15. 그러므로 우리가 그분으로 말미암아 계속해서 찬양의 희생을 [하나님]께 드리자. 그것은 곧 그분의 이름에 감사를

      드리는 우리 입술의 열매니라.

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of [our] lips giving thanks to his name. 

16. 오직 선을 행하는 것과 나누어 주는 것을 잊지 말라. [하나님]께서는 이 같은 희생을 매우 기뻐하시느니라.

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

17. 너희를 다스리는 자들에게 순종하고 복종하라. 그들은 마치 자기가 회계 보고할 자인 것 같이 너희 혼을 위해 깨어

      있나니 그들이 기쁨으로 그것을 하게 하고 근심으로 하게 하지 말라. 그것은 너희에게 유익을 주지 못하느니라.

Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that [is] unprofitable for you. 

18. 우리를 위해 기도하라. 우리가 모든 일에서 정직하게 살고자 하므로 선한 양심을 가진 줄 우리가 확신하노라.

Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

19. 그러나 너희가 이렇게 하기를 내가 더욱 간청하노니 이것은 내가 너희에게 더 빨리 돌아가고자 함이라.

But I beseech [you] the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.

20. 이제 양들의 큰 목자이신 우리 [주] 예수님을 영존하는 언약의 피를 통해 죽은 자들로부터 다시 이끌어 내신

      평강의 [하나님]께서

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 

21. 예수 그리스도를 통해 모든 선한 일에서 너희를 완전하게 하사 자신의 뜻을 행하게 하시고 자신의 눈앞에서 매우

      기쁜 것을 너희 안에서 이루시기를 원하노라. 영광이 그분께 영원무궁토록 있기를 원하노라. 아멘.

Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen. 

22. 형제들아, 내가 너희에게 간청하노니 권면의 말을 용납하라. 내가 너희에게 편지로 몇 자 적었느니라.

And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.

23. 너희는 우리 형제 디모데가 풀려난 것을 알라. 그가 속히 오면 내가 그와 함께 너희를 보리라.

Know ye that [our] brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.

24. 너희를 다스리는 모든 자들과 모든 성도들에게 문안하라. 이탈리아 출신의 사람들이 너희에게 문안하노라.

Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.

25. 은혜가 너희 모두에게 있을지어다. 아멘. 히브리 사람들에게 이탈리아에서 써서 디모데 편에 보내다.
