Role Description
JMJ is looking for an experienced Consulting Analyst who has a sound foundation in consulting within JMJ. This role aims to provide a variety of experiences and learning opportunities to support the development of our entry-level consultants.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Work as part of a consulting team to enable clients to cause a step change in their leadership of safety and environmental protection
- Conducting client interviews
- Formulating and analyzing data
- Preparing materials to support client workshops
- Supporting in delivery of workshops and training sessions
- Building relationships and trust with key clients and building informal networks
- Working with a variety of clients in a variety of different locations
- Listening to client problems and defining strategies and solutions
- Developing proposals and business cases for JMJ or our clients
- Completion of all documentation associated with engagements
- Attending Engagement Review meetings to ensure team and the Engagement Manager are informed of the status and path forward. Use these sessions to forward personal development and the engagement’s impact, profitability, and team effectiveness.
- Participate in engagements on a global basis, collaborating and coordinating with other Business Unit counterparts as required
- Participate on JMJ teams to further develop the business
- Communicate openly, honestly, and responsibly and model JMJ’s values and practice principles
- Develop a broad understanding of the work planning and resource management, processes and comply with all JMJ reporting practices, including travel, time, and expense reporting. Follow HSES practices and reporting.
- Supporting Senior Consultants on basic components of engagements on a limited basis
Requirements/Qualifications
- Travel requirement – Extensive travel required
- A passion for safety and/or organizational transformation with a desire to instill this passion in others
- Ability to think analytically and problem solve
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the global community
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new techniques
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritizing work where needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Pro-active and willingness to learn
- Team player with professional attitude
- Awareness of multicultural differences with ability to adapt to these differences.
- 40-hour work week, with occasional requirement for overtime in the evenings or weekends to meet deadlines
