God Has Warned Against Worshiping the Beast and His Image ㅡ

 “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation.” (Revelation 14:9, 10).

This message was designed to put the children of God upon their guard, by showing them the hour of temptation and anguish that was before them.

This symbol [the beast], as most Protestants have believed, represents the Papacy....

The “image to the beast”(Revelation 13:14) represents that form of apostate Protestantism which will be developed when the Protestant churches shall seek the aid of the civil power for the enforcement of their dogmas....

As the sign of the authority of the Catholic Church, papist writers cite “the very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday.” ...

What then is the change of the Sabbath, but the sign, or mark, of the authority of the Roman Church—“the mark of the beast?” (Revelation 13:14).

Sundaykeeping is not yet the mark of the beast, and will not be until the decree goes forth causing men to worship this idol sabbath.

And it is not until the issue is ...

plainly set before the people, and they are brought to choose between the commandments of God and the commandments of men, that those who continue in transgression will receive “the mark of the beast.” (Revelation 13:14).

When God sends to men warnings so important that they are represented as proclaimed by holy angels flying in the midst of heaven, He requires every person endowed with reasoning powers to heed the message.

මෘගයාට සහ ඔහුගේ රූපයට නමස්කාර කිරීමට එරෙහිව දෙවියන් වහන්සේ අනතුරු අඟවා ඇත

 “තවද තුන්වන දේවදූතයා ඔවුන් පසුපස ගොස් මහත් හඬින් මෙසේ කීවේය.  එය ඔහුගේ කෝපය නමැති කුසලානයට මිශ්‍ර නොවී වත් කරනු ලැබේ.”  (එළිදරව් 14:9, 10).

 මෙම පණිවිඩය සැලසුම් කර ඇත්තේ දෙවියන්වහන්සේගේ දරුවන්ට ඔවුන් ඉදිරියෙහි තිබූ පරීක්ෂාවේ සහ වේදනාවේ හෝරාව පෙන්වීමෙන් ඔවුන්ව ආරක්ෂා කිරීමටය.

 මෙම සංකේතය [මෘගයා], බොහෝ රෙපරමාදු භක්තිකයන් විශ්වාස කර ඇති පරිදි, පාප් පදවිය නියෝජනය කරයි.

 "මෘගයාගේ රූපය" (එළිදරව් 13:14) නියෝජනය කරන්නේ එම ඇදහිල්ල අත්හළ රෙපරමාදු ආගමේ ස්වරූපය, එය රෙපරමාදු පල්ලි ඔවුන්ගේ මූලධර්ම ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීම සඳහා සිවිල් බලයේ සහාය ලබා ගන්නා විට වර්ධනය වනු ඇත.

 කතෝලික පල්ලියේ අධිකාරියේ සලකුණක් ලෙස, පැපිස්ට් ලේඛකයන් “සබත් දිනය ඉරිදා බවට වෙනස් කිරීමේ ක්‍රියාව” උපුටා දක්වයි.  ...

 සබත් දිනය වෙනස් කිරීම යනු කුමක්ද, නමුත් රෝම පල්ලියේ අධිකාරියේ ලකුණ හෝ ලකුණ - "මෘගයාගේ ලකුණ?"  (එළිදරව් 13:14).

 ඉරිදා පැවැත්වීම තවමත් මෘගයාගේ ලකුණක් නොවන අතර, මෙම පිළිම සබතට මිනිසුන්ට නමස්කාර කිරීමට නියෝගයක් නිකුත් වන තුරු එය සිදු නොවේ.

 ඒ වගේම ප්‍රශ්නය ඉවර වෙනකම්ම නෑ...

 පැහැදිලිවම සෙනඟ ඉදිරියෙහි තබා ඇති අතර, දිගටම වැරදි කරන අයට “මෘගයාගේ ලකුණ” ලැබෙනු ඇති බවට දෙවිගේ ආඥා සහ මිනිසුන්ගේ ආඥා අතරින් තෝරා ගැනීමට ඔවුන් ගෙන එනු ලැබේ.  (එළිදරව් 13:14).

 දෙවියන් වහන්සේ මිනිසුන්ට ඉතා වැදගත් අනතුරු ඇඟවීම් යවන විට, ඔවුන් ස්වර්ගය මැද පියාසර කරන ශුද්ධ දූතයන් විසින් ප්‍රකාශ කරනු ලබන පරිදි, පණිවිඩයට අවනත වීමට තර්ක කිරීමේ බලය ඇති සෑම පුද්ගලයෙකුගෙන්ම ඔහු ඉල්ලා සිටී.

짐승과 그의 우상에게 경배하는 것을 경고하신 하나님 ㅡ

 “또 다른 천사 곧 셋째가 그 뒤를 따라 큰 음성으로 가로되 만일 누구든지 짐승과 그의 우상에게 경배하고 이마에나 손에 표를 받으면

그도 하나님의 진노의 포도주를 마시리니 그 진노의 잔에 섞인 것이 없이 부은 포도주라 거룩한 천사들 앞과 어린 양 앞에서 불과 유황으로 고난을 받으리니”(계 14:9-10)

이 기별은 하나님의 자녀들에게 그들에게 닥쳐오는 시련과 고통의 때를 보여 줌으로써 그들로 하여금 경계하도록 주어진 것이다.

이 표상[짐승]은 많은 개신교도들이 믿는 바와 같이 일찍이 고대 로마 제국이 잡고 있던 그 능력과 위와 권세를 계승한 법왕권을 대표한다.

“짐승의 우상”(계 13:14)은 자기의 교리를 강요하기 위하여 국권의 도움을 구함으로 생겨나게 될 배교한 개신교도들의 단체를 나타낸다.

천주교회의 저술가들도 그 교회의 권위의 표로서 “안식일을 개신교도들도 시인하고 있는 바와 같이 일요일로 변경한 그 사실”을 들어서...말한다.

그러므로 안식일의 변경이야말로 로마교회의 권위의 표, 곧 “짐승의 표”가 아니고 무엇이겠는가?

일요일 준수는 아직 짐승의 표가 아니다.

사람들로 하여금 이 우상의 안식일을 경배하게 하는 법령이 포고되고 나서야 비로소 그것은 짐승의 표가 될 것이다.

이제 문제는 극히 분명해졌으므로 하나님의 계명을 순종하느냐 사람의 계명을 순종하느냐 하는 문제 중 어느 한 편을 택하지 않으면 안 된다.

그럼에도 불구하고 하나님의 계명을 계속해서 범하는 자는 “짐승의 표”를 받게 된다.

하나님께서 거룩한 천사들이 공중에 날아가면서 선포하는 것으로 나타내시리 만큼 그렇게 중대한 경고를 사람들에게 주실 때 그분께서는 이성을 가진 모든 사람이 그 기별에 유의하기를 바라신다.
