Our People

The teams at BRIM have significant experience in the Asian financial industry, and have worked and lived in many different Asian locations and around the world, allowing us to have a global view with an Asian perspective towards our investments. The senior members of BRIM include:

Guan Ong

Guan heads the Investment Team at Blue Rice. Prior to starting BRIM, he was the Chief Investment Officer for Korea Investment Corporation (2006-2009), the Korean Sovereign Wealth Fund. Guan has also held various senior investment positions for Prudential (1998-2006) in Hong Kong (Portfolio Manager), Singapore (Senior Portfolio Manager) and Korea (Chief Investment Officer/CEO). Guan has over 20 years of experience in the finance industry and began his career with Credit Suisse in London. He was also closely involved with the CSFB's role as the financial advisor to the Kingdom of Sweden during the Swedish Financial crisis (1993-1994). When he managed Prudential's Asian bond portfolio in Singapore, Guan was voted by The Asset Magazine as the most astute manager in Asian dollar bonds for four years running (2001-2004). He graduated from Imperial College, London in 1986 with a PhD in Electrical Engineering.

Nuj Chiaranussati

Credit Research is headed by Nuj who has 10 years of direct credit research experience and was previously the Head of Credit Research for Deutsche Bank in Singapore (2000-2005) and Hong Kong (1996-2000). She joined the finance industry in 1996 in Hong Kong with Bankers Trust before it was merged with Deutsche Bank. During her time with Deutsche Bank, her team was tasked with providing fundamental credit research on high grade and high yield Asian corporate bond issuers to Deutsche Bank's clients globally. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Nuj was a research engineer with Unilever in the United Kingdom. She graduated with an M.Eng., 1st Class (Hons) in Chemical Engineering, from Imperial College, London and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, England. 

Vincent Ng

Vincent Ng is the Chief Operating Officer at Blue Rice. Vincent has over 13 years of experience with various fund management setups in areas of risk monitoring, investment operations and compliance.  Prior to joining BRIM, Vincent was the Head of Operations at ARA Strategic Capital (the equity fund management arm of ARA Asset Management, an affiliate of Cheung Kong Group) from 2007 to 2010.  During his time there, he was responsible for the investment operations as well as compliance and risk management functions.  Before ARA, Vincent was Head of Operations at Harmony Capital (an Asian special situations strategy fund) from 2005 to 2007.  While at Harmony, he was responsible for building the operations platform and had oversight over all aspects of the middle/back office operations of the firm.  Between 1996 and 2005, Vincent held various operations appointments at Cargill Financial Services, Allianz Asset Management and UT Asset Management. He graduated with a BSc (Econ) from the University of London and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).

Jay Lee

Jay Lee is the Senior Director of Marketing at Blue Rice. Before this, Jay was Head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management (Korea) focusing on sales and marketing from 2007 to 2009. He was also one of the founding partners of Macquarie-IMM Asset Management (Korea),a joint venture between Macquarie Bank and IMM which was established in 2000. Jay was head of the joint venture business from 2002 to 2007. Jay graduated with BA at Law from Seoul National University in 1990 and MBA from University of Michigan in 1993.

제이 리 블루 쌀의 마케팅 수석 이사입니다. 이 전에 제이는 2007 년부터 2009 판매 및 마케팅에 주력 골드만 삭스 자산 운용 (한국)의 책임자였다. 그는 또한 맥쿼리-IMM 자산 운용 (한국), 2000 년에 설립된 맥쿼리 은행과 IMM 간의 합작 회사 설립 파트너 중 하나였습니다. 제이 2002 2007 년 합작 사업의 대장이었다. 제이는 1993 년 미시간 대학에서 MBA를 1990 년 서울 대학교 법학과에서 학사 학위와 함께 졸업했습니다
