	A series of detailed country profiles, with only very brief information on religion or society.
	Covers a thoroughly comprehensive list of nations, countries, and territories, down to the tiniest. Brief, largely statistical information on geography, people, government, economy, and more. Unsure as to the updating schedule.

	An education-oriented website with profiles on every country in the world, including history essays.
	Part of the Infoplease network of informational/educational websites, like a large online almanac.

	A series of very attractive, beautifully illustrated country profiles. Emphasis on tourism features.
	Limited content. No statistics or links. Not all countries are covered.

	A series of online books - extensive country profiles, covering many topics, including religion.
	Full text online version of a series of books produced by the USA Library of Congress Federal Research Division, the Area Studies/Country Handbook series, sponsored by the USA army. 101 countries and regions are included; notable omissions include major Western countries. They were written between 1988-1998, so some information is older. Very good coverage of history, society, economy, politics, national security, institutions, and culture. Each includes a section on religion. Maps and charts require Adobe Acrobat Reader.

	By Stanford University, USA and the Africa Studies Association, a scholarly society. Many sites are listed for each country, with extensive coverage. All are annotated. Most are academic. The section on religion is eclectic, but has much to offer.

	Evidently compiled by Richard Chowning of Abilene Christian University, former Church of Christ missionary in Africa. The Missions Mall gives information on organizations that offer various kinds of practical help to missions in Africa (and elsewhere). The "Research and Strategy" page offers 23 reports, profiles, and papers. Includes an annotated bibliography on African studies. Many broken links, many items that could be linked but are not, e.g. most of the mission agency list. Offers a text-only version for those with slower modems or computers.

	Christ is the Answer is a full time faith mission, working and preaching in Italy and other countries around the world for over 30 years. Our ministry works together with other Evangelical Churches throughout Italy and in other countries where they are established. Everyday, except Sundays, teams are sent out to various towns and villages, holding street meetings to lift up the Name of Jesus and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every night we hold an old fashion Gospel tent meeting where the Word of God is preached. A team of around 100 volunteers lives together in a pre-fabricated container housing, which is moved every three months to another location. Our desire and goal is to preach the gospel to every creature, just like Jesus commissioned.
