The Avatamsaka Sutra, Chief in Goodness (현수품 33-4)

[眞如華]

     33-4.

     於虛空中入火定      行住坐臥悉在空

     身上出水身下火      身上出火身下水

     허공 가운데서 화정에 들어있으면서

     허공에서 가고 머물고 앉고 눕는다.

     몸 위에선 물을 뿜어내고 몸 아래에서는 불을 뿜으며

     몸 위에선 불을 뿜고 몸 아래에서는 물을 뿜음이라.

They can enter fire-concentration in space,

Walking, standing, sitting, and lying, all in the sky,

Producing water from the upper body and fire from the lower,

Or fire from the upper body and water from the lower.

They can enter fire-concentration; 화정에 들어있으면서

in space; 허공 가운데서

Walking, standing, sitting, and lying; 가고 머물고 앉고 눕는다

all in the sky; 허공에서

Producing water; 물을 뿜어내고

from the upper body and; 몸 위에선

fire from the lower; 몸 아래에서는 불을 뿜으며

Or fire from the upper body; 몸 위에선 불을 뿜고

and water from the lower; 몸 아래에서는 물을 뿜음이라
