- 영한 : 한참 뒤쳐진, 훨씬 늦어서/뒤에

- 예문 : 

We are way behind schedule. This design should have been completed by Thursday.

Amy: Yeah and now I'm way behind.
에이미: 응 그래서 한참 뒤쳐졌어.

Ellen: That's why you're passing on lunch?
엘런: 그래서 점심을 안먹는 거야?

Amy: Yeah I really have to stay and finish this.
에이미: 응 정말 남아서 이 일을 끝내야 되는 상황이야.

Ellen: I'll bring you something back.
엘런: 그럼 뭘 좀 사가지고 올게.

Amy: I'll have a tuna sandwich. Thanks a lot.
에이미: 참치 샌드위치로 할게. 정말 고마워.


[기억할만한 표현]
▶ get together: 함께 모이다
"We should get together for lunch next week."
(다음 주에 점심 먹으러 함께 만납시다.)

▶ catch up; ~를 따라잡다, (다른 사람 수준과 맞춰) 따라가다
"I have a lot of work to catch up on."
(나는 만회해야 할 일이 많다.)

▶ pass on (something): ~를 사양하다 거르다
"I'm going to pass on having more pizza." 
(피자를 더 먹는 건 관두겠어요.)
