Biblical verses often used to support predestination include Jesus’ statement, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them" (John 10:27), and passages like Acts 13:48, which says, "All who were appointed for eternal life believed." The story of Pharaoh, whose heart was hardened, and figures like King Saul or Judas Iscariot, who seem predestined to fail, are also cited as evidence of this doctrine. This theological framework, much like reincarnation, can be controversial. '기면 기고, 아니면 아니지 어떻게 이것도 맞고 저 것도 맞다고 하는가?'하면서 핏대를 올릴지도 모르고요. 그렇게 지금도 좌파, 우파로 나 뉘어 극단적인 대립을 하고 있 는데 아마도 곧 깨닫고 하나가 될 것 같습니다. 알고보니 이 쪽 에서 보면 동이요, 저 쪽에서 보면 서인 것처럼 한 쪽으로 치 우쳐 있으면 좌우, 상하가 구분 되지만 관점과 위치만 바꾸면 얼마든지 좌가 우가 될 수 있고, 위가 아래가 될 수 있으며, 앞 이 뒤가 되고, 양지가 음지가 되는 이치를 깨달아야 한다는 것이지요. 지금처럼 좌우가 격하게 대립 하는 때가 없어 보입니다. 특 히 한국 정치와 교회를 보면 양 편이 극단으로 치닫고 있는 것 같네요. 심히 우려되는 상황 이기는 하지만 도리어 이렇게 극단으로 가 봐야 비로소 깨닫 고 '중용'의 도, 그러니까 '균형 과 조화'를 이룰 것 같습니다. As such, the importance of "balance" and "harmony" has become increasingly apparent in theological discourse. Just as science once oscillated between describing light as a particle and as a wave, only to conclude that it possesses both properties, and just as the principle of uncertainty suggests that until observed, two states can coexist in superposition, so too must we reconcile the apparent conflict between divine sovereignty and human free will. The time has come for us to accept both ideas and apply them with wisdom depending on the situation. In the past, such seemingly contradictory logic would have been difficult for many to accept, but today it has become more widely understood. That said, some minds are still stuck in a binary way of thinking, clinging to either/or perspectives. They might react strongly, saying, "How can both be right? It’s either this or that!"—raising their voices in opposition. Today, we still see extreme divisions between the political left and right. This is particularly true in places like South Korea, where politics and even churches seem to be pushing toward opposite extremes. While this situation is concerning, it might be necessary for things to reach such extremes before people begin to realize the importance of the "middle way"—the path of balance and harmony. Much like how from one angle something might appear as the east, while from another it could be seen as the west, positions of extreme left and right can often switch depending on perspective. What seems like "left" from one standpoint can become "right" from another, and what was once "up" can become "down." We must come to understand this natural principle, that extremes eventually lead to the realization of unity and balance. Thus, though we currently see extreme polarization, I believe that this will eventually lead to an awakening, where people will understand the necessity of balance and harmony. The current extremes in both politics and religion may push people toward this realization.
