It's already the last week of this quarter, which is 11th week of the quarter and also final exams week. (Some students call it dead week, too.)
I always attended schools that had a semester system, which is 16-week long. But now I'm in quarter one, 10 weeks for lectures and 1 week for finals. It seems to me that it's not enought time to cover all course materials. Anyway...
It's my first quarter here in this college. I'm not a freshman, though. Everybody said to me at the beginning of the quarter, "The start is important. You will see how your grade will be declinded as time goes by. So you better study harder than when you were in the Community College. And also you will see how the quarter is quick." "Hmm..." I didn't listen what people advised me. I was just happy that I was admitted to this Univ.
So here I am on the dead week. I have to read all textbooks that should've been done before every lectures. And I'm doing all homework problems that was supposed to be done by every week of the quarter. That is, I'm trying to do one-quarter amount of works in one week. I'm putting some words on this board, thinking how stupid i've been.
By the way, there is a student tradition in my school, which is MIDNIGHT YELL. Students in the dorms or in the apartments and even on the streets yell at exactly midnight on the whole 11th final week. Some students say they do this for reducing their stress by the heavy finals. In the other hand, residents in the community complain about "midnight yell" disturbances.
I found a memorandum in my apartment, showing what students not to do...
"...1. NO RESIDENTS AND/OR GUESTS ARE PERMITTED TO YELL OR MAKE LOUD NOISES ON THEIR BALCONY OR AT WINDOWS.
2. NO RESIDENTS AND/OR GUEST/S ARE PERMITTED TO THROW ANYTING OVER THEIR BALCONY.
3. BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 11:45 P.M. - 12:15 P.M., ALL SLIDING DOORS MUST BE CLOSED TO PREVENT THE COUND OF MIDNIGHT YELL FROM CARRYING THROUGHT THE COMMUNITY.
4. TO AVOID THE APEARANCE OF PARTICIPATING IN MIDNIGHT YELL, ALL RESIDENTS AND/OR GUEST/S MUST STAY OFF THE BALCONY AND AWAY FROM THE BALCONY WINDOW AND BEDROOM WINDOWS BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 1:45 P.M. - 12:15 P.M...."
#3 and 4 made me laugh...it is too sfecific to follow, I think, and there is $25 fine for violation.
I'm going crazy
I hope I can finish what I should do before taking finals T.T
