The Avatamsaka Sutra, Chief in Goodness (현수품 38-5)

[眞如華]

     38-5.

     彼有貪欲瞋恚癡      猶於衆生得自在

     況具十種自在力      而不能令衆同行

     그는 탐욕과 진에와 우치가 있되

     오히려 중생에게 자재하거늘

     하물며 10 종의 자재력을 갖추고서야

     능히 대중으로 하여금 같이 행하게 하지 못하겠는가.

He has greed, anger, and ignorance,

Yet has mastery over sentient beings--

How much the more is the possessor of the ten independent powers

Able to cause beings to act in accord.

He has; 그는 ~ 있되

greed, anger, and ignorance; 탐욕과 진에와 우치가

Yet has mastery; 오히려 ~ 자재하거늘

over sentient beings; 중생에게

How much the more is; 하물며

the possessor of; 갖추고서야

the ten independent powers; 10 종의 자재력을

Able to cause beings; 능히 대중으로 하여금 ~ 하지 못하겠는가

to act in accord; 같이 행하게
