  Article 1 : Deception(欺,기)... Cheating(Tricking)... Matter 184.

인간의 어그러진 허물을 속이는 데에서부터 말미암지 않은 것이 없다.

  There is nothing among human faults and deviations that does not originate from deception.

속인다는 것은 인간의 본바탕을 태우는 화로이며 몸을 내리찍는 도끼이니
속임을 행하는 것이 무엇인지 스스로 안다면 다시는 속이지 않게 된다.

  To deceive is a furnace that burns away the true nature of a human being,

   and an axe that strikes dowe upon the body.

   Therefore, if one truly understands within themselves what it means to practice deception,

    they will never deceive again.

따라서 속임을 행하는 것은 비록 경계해야 할 일이지만 씻어 버릴 수 는 없는 것이다.

  Consequently, while committing deception is something that must be strictly guarded against,

   it is not something that can be completely washed away.

人之過戾가 無不由欺하니 (인지과려가 무불유기하니)

  There is no mistake or wrongdoing of a person that does not originate from self-deception.

欺者는 燒性之爐요 伐身之斧也라 (기자는 소성지로요 벌신지부야라)

  Deception is a furnace that burns away one′s true nature,

   and an axe that strikes down one′s own body. 

自行欺는 覺則不再니 (자행기는 각즉부재니)

  If one commits self-deception amd does after becoming aware of it,

故로 雖警이나 無滌이니라. (고로 수경이나 무척이니라.)

  Then, even if one cautions oneself later,

   there will be no way to wash away the stains(of that wrongdoing).

인간사이에 일어나는 수만가지 일 중에서 속이는 것은 모든 惡(악)의 원인이다.

  Among the tens of thousands of things that occur between human beings,

  deceeption is the root cause of all evil.

속이는 것이 미세하다 해도바로 그 미세한 것이 混沌(혼돈,CHAOS)의 부정적인 모습 중 대표적인 것이다.

  Even if the deception is subtle, 

  that very subtlety represents a prime example of the negative aspects of Chaos.

인간의 모든 일이 망쳐질 때 속이는 混沌(혼돈,CHAOS)은  어떠한 모습으로든 그 추한 모습이 도사리고 있기 마련이다.

  Whenever human affairs are ruined, the cchaos of deception is bound to be lurking beneath,

  revealing its ugly nature in one form or another.

속임이 없는 사회는 그만큼 불필요한 시간적 물질적인 낭비가 없는 정신적 무공해 사회이다

따라서 엄청난 경쟁력을 가지는 시회이다.

  A society free of deception iss a mentally pollution-free ssociety,

  completely devoid of unnecessary waste of time and material resources.

  Consequently, it is a society possesssing immense competitiveness.

속이는 것 하나만 없다 해도 마치 무한 동력처럼 混沌(혼돈,CHAOS)없이

영구하게 돌아가는 사회로의 진입할 자격이 있을 것이다.

  If we could eliminate just this one thing―deception ―we would be qualified to enter a ssociety

  that runs perpetually without chaos, much like a source of infinite power.

만가지의 惡(악)의 근본이 제거된 사회이기 때문이다.

  This is because it would be a ssociety where the root of all evil has been completely eradicated.
