[틈틈이 영어공부] You've got me.

- 영한 : 전 모르겠군요, 모르겠는데! 전혀 모르겠어.

- 영영 : used to say that one doesn't have an answer, solution, etc.

- 유사/동일 : You got me,   You've got me there / You have me there (=당했군/내가 손들었어/모르겠군., )

- 예문 : 

You have me there.
내가 졌다. 그것은 대답을 못하겠네.

You have me there, little prick.
나도 모르겠어, 건방진 녀석.

You’ve got me there. I hadn’t thought of that.
그 점에 대해서는 내가 할 말 없군. 난 그것은 생각 못 해 봤어.

Lisa: Last month I filled out an entry form for this contest.
리사: 지난 달에 이 대회에 참전하는 양식을 기입했거든.

Chris: What are you telling me?
크리스: 본론이 뭐야?

Lisa: I just found out that I won first prize.
리사: 지금 막 내가 1등에 당첨된 걸 알았어.

Chris: What did you win a toaster?
크리스: 뭘 상으로 받는 거야 토스터라도?

Lisa: We're going to Hawaii for two weeks.
리사: 우리 둘이 2주간 하와이에 가는 거야.

Chris: I don't know what to say.
크리스: 무슨 말을 할지 모르겠군.


[기억할만한 표현]
▶ slip (one's) mind: 잊어버리다
"I promise I'll be at the meeting. It won't slip my mind again."
(회의에 참석한다고 약속 드리죠. 이번엔 또 잊어버리지 않을게요.)

▶ fill out (something): 양식을 기입하다
"Please fill out this application and return it to me." 
(이 신청서를 기입해서 저한테 돌려주십시요.)

▶ find out: ~를 알아내다 알게되다
"When you find out the concert dates please tell me."
(음악회 날짜를 알게되면 저한테도 알려주세요.)
