1. Competition Trend

□ In the Sound system industry, some companies are mainly only provide installation services for Audio & visual system, where some companies are distributing Audio & visual system products or provide both services.

□ According to Mr. Eric, the director from AV Tech Solution SDN BHD, the competition in this market is very stiff because there are many existing strong brands such as Bosch in the Market. Besides, China and Taiwan brands are also entering into Malaysia market. The prices are cheaper with reasonable quality, therefore Malaysians prefers products from China and Taiwan.

□ He also mentioned that it would be difficult for Korea brand to penetrate the market at the beginning Malaysians are not much exposed to Korean PA systems yet. The price should be competitive to compete with those from China since the market is price sensitive.

□ Form the phone interview with Ms Lily from Pro AV& Technology Sdn Bhd, she said the other popular and established brand, Bosch conquers a lot of market shares in Malaysia even though their prices are fixed and slightly higher. This is because Bosch equipments are able to provide good sound quality.
