사사기16장 말씀입니다.

[사랑하는 나의 가족]

1. 그 뒤에 삼손이 가자에 가서 거기서 한 창녀를 보고 그녀에게로 들어가니

Then went Samson to Gaza, and saw there an harlot, and went in unto her. 

2. 어떤 사람이 가자 사람들에게 고하여 이르되, 삼손이 여기에 왔다, 하매 그들이 그를 에워싸며 밤새도록 그 도시의

    성문에서 매복하고 밤새도록 조용히 하며 이르기를, 아침에 날이 밝을 때에 우리가 그를 죽이리라, 하였더라.

[And it was told] the Gazites, saying, Samson is come hither. And they compassed [him] in, and laid wait for him all night in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying, In the morning, when it is day, we shall kill him.

3. 삼손이 한밤중까지 누웠다가 한밤중에 일어나 그 도시의 바깥문의 문짝들과 두 개의 기둥과 빗장과 모든 것을 빼어

    어깨에 메고 헤브론 앞의 산꼭대기로 가져가니라.

And Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put [them] upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of an hill that [is] before Hebron. 

4. 그 뒤에 삼손이 소렉 골짜기의 들릴라라는 이름의 여인을 사랑하매

And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name [was] Delilah. 

5. 블레셋 사람들의 영주들이 그 여인에게로 올라와 그녀에게 이르되, 삼손을 꾀어 그의 큰 힘이 어디에서 나오는지

    알아보고 또 어떤 방법으로 우리가 그를 이기고 결박하여 괴롭게 할 수 있을지 알아보라. 그리하면 우리가 각각

    은 천백 개를 네게 주리라, 하더라.

And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength [lieth], and by what [means] we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred [pieces] of silver. 

6. 들릴라가 삼손에게 이르되, 원하건대 당신의 큰 힘이 어디에서 나오는지 내게 고하고 또 무엇으로 당신을 결박하여

    괴롭게 할 수 있을지 내게 말하라, 하매

And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength [lieth], and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.

7. 삼손이 그녀에게 이르되, 그들이 말린 적이 없는 푸른 버드나무 가지 일곱 개로 나를 결박하면 내가 약하게 되어

    다른 사람과 같게 되리라, 하니

And Samson said unto her, If they bind me with seven green withs that were never dried, then shall I be weak, and be as another man. 

8. 그때에 블레셋 사람들의 영주들이 말린 적이 없는 푸른 버드나무 가지 일곱 개를 그 여인에게로 가져오매 그녀가

    그것들로 삼손을 결박하였더라.

Then the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven green withs which had not been dried, and she bound him with them. 

9. 이제 사람들이 매복하여 그녀와 함께 방에 머무르고 있더라. 그녀가 삼손에게 이르되, 삼손이여, 블레셋 사람들이

    당신을 덮치고 있느니라, 하니 삼손이 그 버드나무 가지들을 마치 삼실이 불에 닿아 끊어지는 것 같이 끊었으므로

    그의 힘이 알려지지 아니하니라.

Now [there were] men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines [be] upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withs, as a thread of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known. 

10. 들릴라가 삼손에게 이르되, 보라, 당신이 나를 희롱하여 내게 거짓말을 하였도다. 원하건대 무엇으로 당신을 결박

      할 수 있을지 이제 내게 말하라, 하니

And Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound.

11. 삼손이 그녀에게 이르되, 그들이 한 번도 쓰지 아니한 새 줄로 나를 단단히 결박하면 내가 약하게 되어 다른 사람과

      같게 되리라, 하니라.

And he said unto her, If they bind me fast with new ropes that never were occupied, then shall I be weak, and be as another man. 

12. 그러므로 들릴라가 새 줄을 취하여 그것으로 그를 결박하고 그에게 이르되, 삼손이여, 블레셋 사람들이 당신을

      덮치고 있느니라, 하니라. 그때에도 사람들이 방에 매복하여 머물렀더라. 삼손이 자기 팔 위의 줄을 실같이 끊으매

Delilah therefore took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines [be] upon thee, Samson. And [there were] liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his arms like a thread.

13. 들릴라가 삼손에게 이르되, 당신이 지금까지 나를 희롱하여 내게 거짓말을 하였도다. 무엇으로 당신을 결박할 수

      있을지 내게 말하라, 하니 삼손이 그녀에게 이르되, 그대가 만일 짜서 만든 천으로 내 머리털 일곱 타래를 엮으면

      되리라, 하매

And Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web.

14. 들릴라가 걸쇠로 그의 머리털을 단단히 묶고 그에게 이르되, 삼손이여, 블레셋 사람들이 당신을 덮치고 있느니라,

      하니 삼손이 잠에서 깨어나 베틀 걸쇠와 짜서 만든 천을 가지고 가니라.

And she fastened [it] with the pin, and said unto him, The Philistines [be] upon thee, Samson. And he awaked out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam, and with the web.

15. 들릴라가 삼손에게 이르되, 당신의 마음이 내게 있지 아니하면서 어찌 당신이 나를 사랑한다 하느냐?

      당신이 이같이 세 번 나를 희롱하고 당신의 큰 힘이 어디에서 나오는지 말하지 아니하였도다, 하며

And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart [is] not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength [lieth].

16. 날마다 자기의 말들로 그를 짓누르매 삼손의 혼이 괴롭게 되어 죽을 지경이 되었더라.

And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, [so] that his soul was vexed unto death; 

17.이에 삼손이 자기의 온 마음을 털어 놓고 그녀에게 이르되, 내 머리에 삭도를 대지 아니하였나니 나는 모태에서부터

     [하나님]께 바친 나사르 사람이었노라. 만일 내 머리를 밀면 내 힘이 내게서 떠나고 내가 약하게 되어 다른 사람과

     같게 되리라, 하매

That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I [have been] a Nazarite unto God from my mothers womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any [other] man.

18. 들릴라가 삼손이 자기의 온 마음을 털어 놓는 것을 보고는 사람을 보내어 블레셋 사람들의 영주들을 불러 이르되,

      삼손이 내게 자기의 온 마음을 보여 주었으니 이제 한 번만 더 올라오라, 하매 블레셋 사람들의 영주들이 손에 돈을

      가지고 여인에게로 올라오니라.

And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand.

19. 들릴라가 삼손으로 하여금 자기 무릎을 베고 잠자게 하고는 사람을 불러 그의 머리털 일곱 타래를 밀게 한 뒤 그를

      괴롭게 하기 시작한즉 그에게서 그의 힘이 떠났더라.

And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.

20. 들릴라가 이르되, 삼손이여, 블레셋 사람들이 당신을 덮치고 있느니라, 하매 삼손이 잠에서 깨며 말하기를, 내가

예전의 다른 때와 같이 나가서 내 몸을 흔들리라, 하였더라. 그는 {주}께서 이미 자기를 떠나신 줄을 깨닫지 못하였더라.

And she said, The Philistines [be] upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.

21. 그러나 블레셋 사람들이 그를 붙잡아 그의 눈들을 빼고 그를 가자로 데리고 내려가 놋 족쇄로 결박하니 그가 감옥

      집에서 맷돌을 돌리니라.

But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house. 

22. 그러나 그의 머리를 민 뒤에 그의 머리털이 다시 자라기 시작하니라.

Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven. 

23. 그때에 블레셋 사람들의 영주들이 함께 모여 자기들의 신 다곤에게 큰 희생물을 드리고 즐거워하였으니 이는

       그들이 이르기를, 우리의 신이 우리의 원수 삼손을 우리 손에 넘겨주었다, 하였기 때문이더라.

Then the lords of the Philistines gathered them together for to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice: for they said, Our god hath delivered Samson our enemy into our hand.

24. 또 백성들도 삼손을 보고 자기들의 신을 찬송하였으니 그들이 이르기를, 우리나라를 파괴하고 우리 가운데 많은

      사람을 죽인 우리의 원수를 우리의 신이 우리 손에 넘겨주었다, 하였더라.

And when the people saw him, they praised their god: for they said, Our god hath delivered into our hands our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, which slew many of us. 

25. 그들의 마음이 즐거울 때에 그들이 이르되, 삼손을 불러 우리를 위해 재주를 부리게 하자, 하고 감옥 집에서 삼손을

      불러내매 삼손이 그들을 위해 재주를 부리니라. 그들이 기둥들 사이에 삼손을 세우니

And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house; and he made them sport: and they set him between the pillars. 

26. 삼손이 자기 손을 붙든 소년에게 이르되, 내가 이 집을 지탱하는 기둥들을 더듬어 찾아서 그것들에 기대도록

      허락하라, 하니라.

And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand, Suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house standeth, that I may lean upon them.

27. 이제 그 집에는 남녀가 가득하며 블레셋 사람들의 모든 영주들도 거기 있고 지붕에도 삼천 명가량의 남녀가

       있었는데 그들이 삼손이 재주 부리는 것을 보더라.

Now the house was full of men and women; and all the lords of the Philistines [were] there; and [there were] upon the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while Samson made sport.

28. 삼손이 {주}께 부르짖어 이르되, 오 [주] {하나님}이여, 간구하옵나니 나를 기억하옵소서. 오 [하나님]이여

      간구하옵나니 이번만 나를 강하게 하사 블레셋 사람들이 내 눈들을 뺀 것을 단번에 원수 갚게 하옵소서, 하고는

And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

29. 그 집을 지탱하며 받쳐 주던 두 개의 중간 기둥을 하나는 왼손으로 하나는 오른손으로 붙잡고

And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left. 

30. 이르되, 나를 블레셋 사람들과 함께 죽게 하소서, 하며 힘을 다하여 몸을 굽히매 그 집이 곧 무너져 그 안에 있던

      영주들과 온 백성을 덮으니 이처럼 삼손이 죽을 때에 죽인 자가 살았을 때에 죽인 자보다 많았더라.

And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with [all his] might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that [were] therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than [they] which he slew in his life. 

31. 그때에 그의 형제들과 그의 아버지의 온 집이 내려가서 그의 몸을 가지고 올라와 소라와 에스다올 사이에 있는

      그의 아버지 마노아의 매장지에 묻으니라. 삼손이 이십 년 동안 이스라엘을 재판하였더라.

Then his brethren and all the house of his father came down, and took him, and brought [him] up, and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the buryingplace of Manoah his father. And he judged Israel twenty years.
