3) 할아버지는 하나님과 같은 입장 - 2

여러분 이렇게 생각할 때, 할아버지 기침소리가 나면 “아이구, 저놈의 늙은이 얼른 죽지.” 이래요, 할아버지 기침소리도 “아이구 좋아라!” 이래요? 나이가 많으니까 잠을 안 자거든요. 그거 생각해 보라구요.

“야, 우리 집에서 할아버지가 자지 않고 지켜 주는 하나님이구나! 우리를 지켜 주니 그렇게 늙으셨구만. 주름살을 보니 늙으셨구만.” 그렇게 생각해야 돼요.

그러니 명령에 절대 순응해야 된다는 겁니다. 그게 얼마나 아름다우냐 이거예요. 그런 할아버지 할머니, 나이 많은 할아버지 할머니를 모신다면 불 안 나고 도둑도 안 맞는다는 거예요. 이걸 알아야 합니다. 

할아버지 할머니가 잠 안 자면 뭘할 것이냐? 기도한다는 거예요. “하나님 우리 아들딸에게 복 주시오, 복 주시오.” 하고 기도한다는 거예요. 기도를 하니까 “야, 아무개야! 너 오늘 나가 다니다가는 위험하다. 말을 들어라.” 이렇게 다 가르쳐 주는 거예요. “오늘은 나가지 마라! 싸움 하지 마라! 아들아 어디 가지 말고, 딸아! 며느리야! 오늘은 멀리 가지 마라.” 이렇게 가르쳐 주는 거예요. (웃음) 

자, 그러니 손자들에게 그런 할아버지 할머니가 필요하겠어요, 안 필요하겠어요? 사랑을 가지면 할머니 할아버지도 춤추고, 어머니 아버지도 춤추고 형제끼리도 춤춘다는 거예요. (107-327) 

부모는 손자를 어디에 보내려면 반드시 할아버지의 승락을 받아야 됩니다. 부모 마음대로 못 합니다. 할아버지가 하나님의 입장이 되는 거예요. 알겠어요, 무슨 말인지? 그거 미국식으로는 참 싫어할 거라구요. 어머니 아버지가 어디 가는데 자식이 “나도 갈 거야.” 할 때, “못 와! 못 와!” 그러지 못한다구요. (107-326)

3) おじいさんは神様と同等 - 2

皆さん、このように考えるとき、おじいさんが咳をすれば「まったく、あの年寄り、早く死ねばいいのに」と言いますか、おじいさんの咳もいいものとして考えますか？　年を取っているから、あまり寝ないのですね。それを考えてみなさい。「いやあ、うちではおじいさんが眠らずに守ってくれる神様だなあ！　私たちを守っていて、あんなに老いたんだなあ。

しわを見ると、本当に年を取ったなあ」そのように考えなければなりません。だから、命令に絶対順応しなければなりません。それはどんなに美しいことでしょう。そのようなおじいさんとおばあさん、年を取ったおじいさんとおばあさんに侍るなら、火事にもならず泥棒にも入られないのです。これを知らなければなりません。

おじいさんとおばあさんは眠らないで何をするのでしょうか？　祈祷をするのです。「神様、うちの息子・娘に福を授けてください。福をください」と言って祈祷するのです。「おい、だれだれよ！ お前、きょうは出歩いては危険だ。言うことを聞きなさい」このように全部教えてくれるのです。「きょうは外に出るな！ けんかをするな！ 息子よ、どこにも行くな。娘よ！ 嫁よ！ きょうは遠くへ行くな」このように教えてくれるのです。（笑い）

さあ、だから孫たちにこのようなおじいさんとおばあさんが必要でしょうか、必要ではないでしょうか？ 愛を持てばおばあさんとおじいさんも小躍りし、お母さんとお父さんも小躍りし、兄弟同士も小躍りするのです。（一九八〇・六・八、アメリカ）

父母は孫をどこかに送り出すとき、必ずおじいさんの承諾を受けなければなりません。父母の勝手にはできません、おじいさんが神様の位置になるのです。分かりますか、何の話か？　

それをアメリカ式ではとても嫌がるのです。お父さんとお母さんがどこかに出かける際、子どもが「私も一緒に行きたい」と言う場合、（おじいさんの承諾なしに）「だめだ！　だめだ！」とは言えないのです。（一九八〇・六・八、アメリカ）

3) The Grandfather's Position is that of God - 2

From this point of view, when you hear your grandfather's coughing, do you think in your mind, "Damn, the old man should go to the other world" or, "I like it" As they get older, old men don't sleep too much. Just think about that. 

So we'd better think, "Our grandfather is like God, protecting us without sleeping too much!" when he gets much older, his puckered lips just tell of his aging.

So you have to obey absolutely what he says. Now you may know how beautiful that is. You will not have any break-ins, any fires in your house, when you are serving and living together with your grandparents. You should remember this.  

What do you think they are doing without sleeping then? They pray, "May God bless my children." Through prayer, God tells them what to say to their children, "Hey son, you need to watch out, when you go out, please listen to me." "Don't go out today! Don't quarrel with others, Don't go out too far today." That's how they teach their children. (laughing) 

Accordingly, do grandchildren need such grandparents or not? With love, happiness can come down to all of the grandparents, father and mother, brothers and sisters so that they can dance with their all heart. (107-327) 

When parents send their children someplace, they have to get permission from the grandparents. Parents can't do as they please. Because grandparents are in the position of God.  

Do you understand what I am saying? From the light of the American way of thinking, it's hard to accept and understand. When parents go out somewhere, children may beg, saying, "I want to go with you." Then, it's hard to say, "No, you can't." (107-326)
