In this devotional we are reminded [that wisdom has a different meaning /to Christians /than to the unsaved world].

A multi-millionaire may appear to have wisdom /since he’s so successful,

but he could be taking [actions //that God disapproves of].

That makes [the rich man] [quite unwise]!

We Christians must have the fear, or deep respect, of the Lord in order to be wise.

Let’s pray for wisdom today.

* 4 형식 수동태 are reminded [that절/직목]  

* 형역 과분사 unsaved

* 불자 appear의 보어인 부정사구 to have wisdom /since he’s so successful, 주어의 상태설명

* 목적인 명사절  actions //that God disapproves of (전목)  명+관대절 

* 자동사로 쓰인 disapprove ; to have a bad opinion about sth/sb ~에 대해서 나쁘다는 견해를 가지다

* 주의 ; 한글해석으로 하면 '~을'로 되기에 3 형식/타동사 같지만 of가 있기에 '~에 대하여'가 됨

* disapproves of actions 자동사+전치사구/부사구 ; 행동에 대해서 찬성하지 않다

* 숙어 disapprove of sth/sb ; To have or express an unfavorable opinion about sth/sb에 대해 못마땅하게 여기다

* 주의 ; 타동사 disapprove ; reject,  거부하다, 거절하다, The president disapproved [the bill], 타동사+목적

* 5 형식  makes [the rich man] [quite unwise, Let [us] [pray for wisdom today].

* 전치사구 in order to be wise. 부사 역할로 의도설명

* 숙어 in order to do something ; with the aim or purpose of doing something: 어떤 걸 하려는 목적을 가지고

* 주의 in order to~에서는 to+동사 원형이 쓰이고 in order that~에서는 명사절이 쓰여 이유/목적을 설명함

* 'in order to+동사' is more formal than 'to+동사' ;  격식체와 일상어체 차이가 있을 뿐 의미는 같지만

  위 문장에서 in order가 없으면 of the Lord to be wise가 되므로 부정사구가 형역으로 보여 어색함

* 주의 ; 영어는 한글과는 다른 언어이기에 한글식이 아닌 영어식으로 이해를 하고 써야 영어다운 영어가 됨
